Some nice summer breezes flew through my window and brushed against my soft baby blue drapes as me and Kay were chilling in my room on the usual social media.

Kay was finally getting to sleep over this weekend! It isn't of the african "culture" to have non family, well non africans, sleepover or you sleepover at their house so this was a pretty big deal. Kay is the only friend I've ever attemped, and actually suceeded, to have sleep over here cause I know how my mom is about her culture. This may be cliché but Kaylani Wilson is my bestest friend in this friggin universe. She's had my back for as long as I can remember, especially at Watermark where no one, not a soul, can be trusted. That girl is all I got, family and friend, considering my "other" friends are not so turstworthy and me and my family will never get along. And just like she got me, I'm riding with her to the end.

"Ugh, this hoe is not cute" I scroll through my feed on Instagram, on my tablet.

"Why you hating" Kay asks, making one of those damn stank faces?

"Shut up" I throw my pillow at her.

"Lil boy, you better stop 'for I drag you" she throws the pillow at my head.

"Oh ok" I dismiss her.

My phone, right next to me on my bed, lit up as it vibrated with a new text from Ty. "Is that Ty again" Kay is annoyed.

"Yes" I cheese as I reply.

Ty had been blowing up my phone all day. Me and him have gotten pretty close lately, if we're not hanging everyday then we're definitely talking. Nothing too serious though, he's just a really cool dude.

"Looks like you and him have been getting pretty close" Kay says.

"Well yeah" I say.

"I wonder why" Kay throws shade.

"What! He's just a really cool guy friend" I say. "That's all"

"What" Kay imitates me in a high pitched voice. "Now you know you like that boy"

"Whatever, he's straight" I dismiss her.

"So you admit it" Kay raises her voice.

"Um no, for your info he may be cute but I don't want him what so ever" I shut her down.

"Oh ok" Kay throws some more shade. "We gone see bout that"

"Ain't nothing to see" I tell her.

I swear some times Kay don't know what she even be talking bout with ole ignorant self. Nothing is going to happen with me and Ty.... I mean it's not like want something to happen, I think.

I was bored out of my mind on this blissful summer morning as I had the house to myself cause the rest of my family was out in St. Augustine for the day.

I was flipping through channels after having gone through two packs of ramen noodles when I decided to invite a little friend over.

"I need you, get your ass over here" I text Ty.

"I'll be there in about 40 min" he texts back in a matter of seconds.

Before I knew it, I found myself washing up and cleaning up the house for my arriving company. It's not like he's special, I just wanted to be fresh.

"Where you at" Ty busts in my house.

"Coming" I ran out the bathroom.

"What's up" he hugged me.

"I was bored as fuck but now you're here " I smile then walk over to lock the door.

We played some video games.. well he played and then I laughed when he lost, we ate, we watched some movies, then we ate again and now we were in my room.

"When does school start" he asked, sitting down on my bed.

"I think August something" I sat next to him.

"You still going to Newwods" I ask him?

"Nah, not anymore" he tells me.

"What you mean" I frown.

"My mom says its ratchet" he laughs.

I laugh. "I don't blame her"

"Well yeah, I mean imma still be in the neighborhood" he assures me.

"I guess, we can still hang over the weekends" I suggest.

"Hell yeah" he says.

"I'm still mad" I playfully push him.

"Bruh chill, don't be pushing me" Ty pushes me back.

"Boy" I push him onto the bed.

"Nigga" He throws me over him and hops on top of me. "What you gone do now" he grabs my hands and holds me down.

"You better get off of me" I laugh.

All of a sudden, he stares into my eyes and I stare back into those shiny brown button eyes of his. He then leaned in and stopped where our noses touched and before I knew it his lips were on mine as his tounge slid in my mouth. Then my tounge touched his and he let go of his grip on my hands to pull my shirt off while I slid his gym shorts down and grabbed that ass. We were in our boxers when he snapped back and pulled away.

"What's wrong" I sit up as he hopped off the bed and put his clothes back on.

"I gotta go" he throws his shirt back on and runs out my room.

"What the hell just happened" I whisper to myself as I sat there in pure confusion in my boxer briefs.
