"Ok class, today everyone must a pick a partner and collaborate on a short story" Mrs. Naples started second period, "I want y'all to mesh your minds creatively and produce an intriguing product, which will be for a grade so let's get to it" she instructed us.

I could barely remember what she said as it went through one ear and out the other cause all I could think about was what Ty said, so maliciously,  to me at the park even though I was trying so hard not to. "What am I doing" I kept asking myself. I couldn't believe I wasted any of my time trying so desperately to figure out if anything was there when Ty's clearly in denial with his damn self. If I wasn't over him before, I sure as hell am now! That's all Candi's.

"Good morning, partner" Jordan greeted me with his sexy smile as he grabbed the seat next to me.

"Well good morning to you too" I smiled back at him. "How are you" I ask?

"Great, now that I'm with you" he winked at me.

"Same here" I winked back.

"Well look who's in a good mood" Jordan was shocked as I was actually flirting back with him today.

"Why wouldn't I be" I smiled.

"Since you're so pleasant, I was wondering how about we chill on Saturday" he proposes.

"Doing what" I get suspicious.

"Nothing, we can go to the mall" he suggests, "unless you wanna do something else" he grins at me hella hard.

"Boy" I laugh, "the mall will be just fine" I accept.

"Good" he gives me a sly grin.

Kay and Kasey are right, I shouldn't be wasting my time with that damn lemur. I'm single and Jordan is a cool and cute ass contender who wants to mingle.

"Hurry up man" my annoying ass older brother pounded on the bathroom door, interrupting me for the third time.

"I'm coming" I snapped with much attitude and a stank face.

It was Saturday night and the feeling was definitely right! I was getting ready for my date with Jordan at the mall tonight and I was so nervous... because I couldn't find anything to wear.. that's all. Since my mother is gonna be too busy "cooking" and my dad is always too busy "working", my brother Sean has to take me.

My family doesn't nessacarily know that I'm fabulous, you could say, so when I told my mother that I was going to actually be hanging with a guy she was more than delighted to give me her blessing, considering I've always had female friends. But trust that they have never put it past me, I will say that they've had their speculations for years now but that's a whole other story. Me and Sean have never really gotten along with our strained sibling relationship, no brotherly love over here, and he has been the main one in the house with his own speculations over the years, just looking to further his evidence.

I smeared some lip balm on my lips and bolted out the bathroom as I heard Sean start the car like he was about to leave me.

"What are you doing" I hopped in the passengar seat of the car, trying to catch my breath.

Sean turned around to pull out of the driveway and started on the way, "I told you to hurry up"

"I was" I snapped, "gosh"

"Well I got plans too, nigga! so you wasn't fast enough" he snapped back at me.

"Well sorry" I rolled my eyes.

"So who is this guy friend that you're hanging with" he said with such a side eye.

"Why do you need to know" I side eye him.

"Do you want me to turn around" he asked in such a nonchalant tone.

"I'm just saying"

"Armani, it's yes or no question" he cut me off.... so nonchalant.. ugh.

"No" I answer him.

"Then answer the damn question" he demanded.

"Well if you must know" I snapped, "his name is Jordan and he's a guy from school"

"Oh interesting, so y'all are just friends" he side eyes me even harder.

"What are you trying to say" I snap right when we thankfully pulled up to the mall.

"Have fun" he says right before I get out the car.

"Thank you" I say with all the attitude I had right when I hopped out.

Jordan was so cute posted up at the entrance just waiting for me. "You better not let him phase you, bitch. You're going to have fun" I told myself as I was walking up to Jordan.

"Armani" Jordan ran up to me and gave me the greatest hug I've ever had. "What took you so long"

"Sorry, my brother was being a douche" I tell him as we walked inside.

"Brother? When am I going to get to meet the fam" he smiled at me.

"Trust me, you do not want to" I warn him as we entered the mall.

It was absolutley great! We shopped around and like a gentlemen he paid for everything! And he bought me this beautiful golden heart locket that just shimmered away as a "token of his love". Now we were finishing our date in the food court with some ice cream.

"Thank you so much for all this stuff" I referred to all the items purchased for me by him, "and especially thank you for this necklace" I cluctched the lokcet, around my neck, in my hand.

"C'mon don't worry, this was all my treat" he smiled at me.

"But thank you" I smiled at him.

"You're very welcome" he smiled at me, making me blush.

"Armani" an annoying voice interrupted the moment.

"What the hell" I turned around to see Candi and Ty walking towards us.

"Isn't that your friend" Jordan asked?

"Yes, Candi" I said so sadly.

"Armani, Armani, you didn't tell me you were here silly" Candi was at our table, standing with Ty who looked so uncomfortable.

"Well, I had no idea you were gonna be here.... with him" I tell her, wondering why the hell they were here together.

"Oh yeah, me and him are actually on our date" Candi grabs his hand and smiles at him without receiving a smile back.

"Oh really" I say as blood rushed to my palms and I was on the verge of a panic attack.
