Will Solace's Diary

Entry VIII

Dear Diary,

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE STOP FALLING FROM THE CLIMBING WALL?! I'VE HAD SEVEN PEOPLE ALREADY COME IN, HALF DEAD, BECAUSE THEY FELL FROM THE CLIMBING WALL. WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE THIS?! WHY CANT WE HAVE A NORMAL CLIMBING WALL?!

WHAT IS THE POINT OF-

Nico. Is. Coming. Over.

Right. Now.

ASDFGHJKL.

I'll tell you what happens after we talk.

He just left.

I looked like a complete idiot.

This was our conversation:

"Uh... hey Will."

"Hey, Nico. What's up?"

"I um... I think there's something going on in the woods. They need you." He looked at his feet.

"Oh... um... is it an emergency?"

"Yeah."

I sighed and set this down. Then I ran to the woods, Nico behind me.

The entire forest was on fire!

I swore. "Where's Percy?! Can't he just, you know, use his water stuff for this?!"

"He's on a quest, remember? He left earlier today."

I blinked. "Right. Okay. We need to get everyone out."

Should the Hephaestus cabin be handling the fire?

Nico nodded and ran into the woods to tell people to get out.

I ran to the infirmary and grabbed as much medical stuff as I needed.

I bumped into Nico. He was cradling his arm. "What happened?!" I asked, already healing him.

"I was trying to get people out, but the fire is really hot." He winced and my thumb accidentally brushed the burn.

"Okay. Yeah." I finished bandaging it. "Go to the infirmary, okay? I'll get everyone else."

"Are you sure-?"

"Yeah." I ran towards the forest. Out of the corner of my eye, I was Nico heading towards the infirmary.

Good, I can do this, I had thought.

I'm going to save you the details of me getting everyone out. Let's just say it was chaotic.

Okay, Kayla needs me. I probably won't be able to write often, because between people falling of the climbing wall and this fire, the infirmary is going to be full.
