I sat on the couch looking at the T.V. Nothing was on so I left it on the news. They went on rambling about politics and terrorist threats. Not that it isn't interesting, it just got boring. I watched, barely interested. I threw the remote down on the couch beside me and stood up. The place was quite when no one was there. All lights were off except the T.V. I never realized how creepy it was down here. The kitchen was dark and the bedroom I stayed in was even darker. Ever scenic I started staying here I got the creepy feeling someone, or something, was watching me. Slowly I begin to walk towards the kitchen. Motion censored lights flick on at cue. I glance towards the fridge then to the table. Nothing. Nothing but the silence of my own mind. I walk over to the fridge and open it. Pulling out a bottled water for me. I unscrew the cap and take a long drink. I hadn't had anything to drink in about a day and my throat was screaming. I take the bottle from my lips and set it on the counter. Leaving the kitchen I wander around the few rooms. It was a Saturday so I was alone for two days. I walk in the bedroom and look around. The lights took a little longer to turn on than the kitchen. As soon as they did I began looking for something, anything, different. My bags sat on the floor next to the bed. The blankets piled into a ball on the bed. I crouch down next to my bags and begin to go through them. Pulling out clothes and a few blankets. I throw them in a pile in the corner. I barely brought anything from home. A few books, some blankets, a pillow, a bit of food, some clothes. Other than that not much. I needed first aid supplies and some more clothes. I pulled out the last object in my bag. A green mask that covers my face. Black mesh so I can see out. A few spots where my mouth would be. I don't know why I brought it. Frankly I don't care. It was my ticket out of here. I smile and slip the mask on. I pull up the hood on my black hoodie. Inside the mask I smile a little more.
"As long as I stay hidden I can go out for awhile." I whisper to no one. Standing up from my spot and walk out of the bed room. The digital clock read 10:03. I could get to my house within an hour. Grab some stuff and get out within fifteen minutes. Then get back within an hour and a half. By the time I got back here it would be around. 12:50 or so. How was I going to get out though? I walk into the empty room. The walls painted white and the floor wooden. I always wondered why it was empty. Every room here had a reason, as far as I could tell. This one just gave me a headache if I stayed here for awhile. I narrow my eyes at a small brown stick in the corner. I walk over to it and crouch down. The wood stuck out of the wall. Like a leaver. I reach out an dull it down. Not expecting much but still expecting something. For a minute nothing happened. Then a loud squeaking filled the ears. The wall slid left. I stood up and looked forward. It was a lever and it reviled another large room. Another hatch was in the corner. It looked like it led outside. Hesitantly I take a step forward. It was just another room. Well, another room with a way out. I look around. A small built in round table sat in the middle. The right wall was lined with shelves without doors. It was empty. Like the other room. I walk over to the hatch and climb the ladder. Opening it to the outside. A small sliver of a moon hung in the sky. Wispy clouds floated across, temporally blocking out the stars. I took a deep breath in. The crisp air filled me with energy. I climb the rest of the way out and shut the hatch. I look around. I was on the outskirts of school. The hatch was well hidden. Unless you knew it was there you would never have been able to find it. I look around and find the road I needed. Smiling I begin to walk forward. Then gradually turning into a run.

(Sorry if their so short. I'll try to make them longer.)
