He would be going off to college today.
He was happy to leave the toxic environment known as,
Home.
With dishes being thrown,
From the cheating mother,
To the empty father.
His father felt nothing.
Not anymore
Years of abuse from his mother,
Had put a beating on his father.
A beating on father's soul.
It ripped the soul right out of father.
The cheer from fathers eyes.
The happiness in father's heart.
Gone.
Father tried to show him love.
Father did love him,
But father's emotions were limited.
He didn't mind.
He had someone else to show him
Love,
Care,
Affection,
Hope,
His heart.
She was truly a gift.
A gift given directly from heaven.
From God himself.
If there is a God on this cruel planet, he thought.
