Alex:

When we get back from breakfast, we find a note from Lucy.

Guys, I have to go somewhere to get my thoughts together. And I need answers. I'll see you later, don't worry about me.

Macy worriedly looks to me. "What if it's Max? He would stoop this low."

Janessa shakes her head. "Nah, the guys had him last time we saw him."

I nod. "Yeah, I mean, I watched Lucy almost die. She was pretty traumatized by it. We should let her have some time."

Nessa smiles. "Guys, we should go to the park. The one that we saw on the way back from that one café!"

We all agree, and head out that way. We don't have that long left here, so why not make the best of it. When we arrive at the park, Janessa and Macy head towards the swings, while I walk around the edge of the park.

Someone grabs me from behind. I immediately bring my foot down and they let go with a cry of hurt. Turning around, I gasp.

"I'm so sorry!"

Tyrece grins. "That's fine. Remind me to never do that again. You've got quite the strength."

I hug him. "How are you?"

He smiles down at me. "I'm good, love. It was a long night, but I survived. With only a few scratches."

I pull away to look him in the face. "That's good. So, what are you doing here?"

He grins. "I might have picked up on your scent and came here. I wanted to see you."

I roll my eyes, but I'm really swooning inwardly. "I'll never get used to you being a werewolf."

He pokes me. "I'll never get used to you being so cute."

I roll my eyes again. "You're getting cheesy."

"Oh, forgive me. I can't help but see your beauty."

I giggle as we keep walking. What is he doing to me?

"Guys!" Janessa and Macy wave us over. We see that they're with someone.

Mason narrows his eyes at Tyrece. "What are you doing here?"

Tyrece smirks. "I wanted to come see my girlfriend."

I try not to blush at his words. We went on one failed date. I'm his girlfriend? I turn and glance at him, quickly looking back at Mason.

"Hi."

He nods his hello to me. Nessa nudges him. "Guys, I thought you were cool again."

He shakes his head, and I see Tyrece doing the same. "Just cause we helped overcome an enemy of both of us doesn't mean we are cool."

Tyrece scoffs. "You guys broke my cousin's heart. You thought we would be cool?"

Suddenly, as they continue glaring at each other, my phone goes off. I move away from the group a little bit.

"Hello?"

"Alex, hi."

"Angie. What's up?"

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come to my house, and we can continue our conversation."

I nod. She hangs up. "Guys, I have to go."

"I'll take you somewhere," Tyrece offers.

"It's fine. I'll see you later." He kisses me on the cheek before I head out.
