Lucy:

I slide the knob upward to raise the volume, so the clapping crescendos. That's a good start. I add the guitar I had recorded earlier. Sounds good so far. I stop the recording and decide to take a break. I set down the head phones, take my computer, and exit the recording studio. I plug in ear buds into my phone and play previous track I have made. That's right. I'm a music major. I'm going to be a music producer.

I think about the assignment that one of my professors have assigned the class. I have to create a remix of a song. Seems easy enough, except for the part where I have to have a connection to the song, then remix it to make it even more like my style, and then write an essay on my connection and how I remixed the song. So, first step, deciding the song. I  walk across the street to Sugar Bean Café. I sit in my usual table outside. The waitress (Kara) brings out my usual. Has I sip my vanilla bean French frappuccino with extra caramel, I scroll through the playlist in my computer to find the perfect song. The weird thing, is somehow, I feel as though I'm being watched.

Janessa:

I stand behind a giant column with my camera. I spot Lucy. Feeling like some creepy stalker, I stay behind the column and take several pictures of Lucy. Don't judge me. It's for an assignment. I have to create a collage of everyday life. I doesn't work when you have people posing for the picture.

"You look really stalkerish doing that," I hear Oliver's voice say. I smile.

"It's kind of have to," I reply.

"You get paid to stalk people?" Oliver gives me a questioning look.

I giggle. "No, it's for an assignment. Anyways, what at you doing here, I thought you go to some tech college, not Maxwell University of the Arts?"

"Actually, it's a tech institute, and I do. I just finished my shift at my job near by and my car ran out of battery. I walked over here to see if I can get one of you guys to help me jump start my car," Oliver explains.

"Oh, okay. Sure, come on," I lead Oliver to the parking garage to find my car. We talk on the way, until we finally found my car. I totally forgot where I parked the thing. We ride my car over to Hobby Lobby near by. It was only a three to five minute ride. I help jump start his car and then we talk for a little.

"God, I'm hungry," Oliver says.

"Me too, wanna grab something to eat?" I ask.

"Sure, where do you want to go?"

"I really don't care."

"I don't either." We both laugh.

An idea pops in my mind. "Oh, I know, there is this really cool Mexican restaurant that just opened up. You up for Mexican food?"

"Definitely," Oliver says.

"Awesome, just follow me." We each get into our own car and Oliver follows me. We arrive at the restaurant just in time for sunset. Mexican music plays outside and inside. Oliver and I are seated at a table for two and we order food. We talk as we wait. "I'm going to go wash my hands, I'll be right back." I head to the bathroom. Surprisingly, it smells like cherry blossoms. Who would have thought that a bathroom could smell this good? Especially a restaurant bathroom. I walk over to the sink to see another girl (has to be around my age) with dark hair, pale skin, and dark eyes, looking at herself in the mirror. She's pretty, but something about her screams trouble. After I finish washing my hands, I exit. Just a few seconds later, so does she. I sit down across from Oliver. The girl from the bathroom glances at me as walks by me. My eyes follow her as she sits across from some guy. The guy has blondeish hair, and that's all I see since he's facing away from me. He looks familiar. But, a lot of guys can look like him from behind. I forget about it and enjoy my dinner with Oliver.

Lucy:

I finally find a song. Human by Christina Perri.

The sun has gone almost all the way down, so I decide it's time to head to my dorm. I walk to the dormitory, when something catching catches my attention. There is a blinking streetlight by the dormitory, in front of a dark ally. There seems to be a figure in that ally. A familiar figure... His words ring in my mind.

This end, why, it's only the beginning.

He voice in my head. He name was.....
