I'm sorry, I'm not the person you wanted me to be.
I've tried tirelessly for the past few years to be the best version of myself. I gave everything I could to carve the right path ahead of me. "Everything will work out for all of us in the end," but I never saw anything in me because you didn't. You were my extra pair of better visions whenever you guided me through the foggiest of days. I couldn't have gotten past half of the time if it wasn't for you. However, I haven't changed one bit, yet you've grown up and out.
I'm sorry, I tend to ask for too much.
If only you knew that all I wanted was for you to be with me through thick and thin. If only you knew that all I wanted was for you to accept me as I am. If only you knew that all I wanted was us. It was a long shot, but what else could I have done? My feelings were sincere. You're beautiful as you are. You're kind and thoughtful. You're hilarious. You're adorable when you fall asleep on my lap and even more when you wake up feeling grumpy. You're an amazing person and I would be a lucky man if I ever get to call you mine.
I'm sorry, I can't change.
I could only love and hope to be loved in return. What I want for you is more than what you want for yourself and I don't know how much more genuine can my love for you get. I know you might never feel the same way and that I'm stuck in this unrequited love but really, I couldn't be happier to be stuck in anything as long as you're around.
I wanted to tell you but over time, you seemed distant. You were seeing other people and I didn't want to be in the way. The many times that you said I was annoying when I was being affectionate, had truly broke me within.
I don't want you to hate me.
I want you to love me.
But that's never going to happen, is it?
I love you, Michael.
