A horror story isn't a horror story until you find the dark creepy words, right? I wouldn't normally fear some trees, but these trees? They're different to the others. They look like actual people and that's why I'm insane for coming anywhere near this forest. (cue twenty one pilots). Why was I here? I have no idea. It's 2:30 am and I'm wandering around in leggings and a baggy hoodie and for some reason I stumble across this forest. I stupidly carry on walking towards the forest like there's absolutely nothing to worry about. I was wrong... Very wrong.

I hadn't even taken 10 steps into the deep forest until I felt something staring into my eyes. Alarm bells were going off in my head, but once again out of stupidity I ignore them and carry on walking being careful not to walk into a tree. I started to relax after a while since nothing drastic had happened. I observed the trees around me, looking at them to see if they resembled a face like everyone in this town said they had. There was one tree in the distance that seemed to look a lot like a person or something. Making my way towards it I grab my phone from the pocket and fumble around with it trying to find the on button for the torch. Finding it, I glance towards the direction of the tree, but it had gone. I must have imagined, right? This is what I get for wandering around in the middle of the night. I turn around deciding to make my way back to my flat. Although I got quite a surprise when I turned around to see someone towering over me...

I let out a deathly scream and tried to run, but the person or whatever it was had its pale, frozen hand clasped around my now trembling wrist. He brought his head slowly towards my neck. My neck? Why on earth is he closing in on my neck? My question was answered once I saw the sharp pointy teeth inches away from my neck. My heart sunk as I realised why everyone feared this forest so much. There were things that shouldn't be messed with. The supernatural.

In that moment, I knew that I wasn't going to be walking out of this forest anytime soon. I could feel his fangs brush against my skin, shivering I try to escape from his cold grasp, failing miserably. I squeeze my eyes shut and wait for the pain to come, it didn't come. Next thing I know he's pulling away and laughing at me. Laughing at me?

"You should've seen your face omg!" The strange man says whilst trying to contain his laughter. I just stare at him with wide eyes trying to figure out what the hell just happened and why me of all people. How can he laugh at this? I thought I was going to die! Snapping out of my shocked state I look up at him and glare at him.

"What the fuck?! I thought I was going to die, you fucktard!" I shout at him, he just looks at me and laughs even harder. Seriously?

"Did you just call me a fucktard? What the hell is a fucktard?" He says laughing even more if that's even possible.

"Yes, I did just call you a fucktard. It's more insulting than just calling you a retard, don't ya think?" I reply whilst rolling my eyes at him. Deciding that I'd had enough of this guy I turn around and start to make my way out of this damn forest.

"Your leaving? But I haven't even told you my name!" He says running up behind me and grabbing on to my shoulder making me turn around to face him once again.

"You don't seriously think that I actually want to stay after what you just did, right?" I reply looking at him angrily.

"Well, no, but my name's Michael," He says smiling at me as if everything was perfectly fine.

"Great now that I know your name I can leave!" And with that said I turn around once again and leave him stood in the middle of the forest. I was almost out of the forest when I heard a twig snap behind me.

"Michael I swear to god if you follow me back to my flat I will not hesitate to ki- "before I could finish I was interrupted.

"I'm not Michael, but you can call me anytime," He says to me. Where are all these people coming from? I let out another piercing scream and turn away from him trying to get away. This forest is full of weirdos!

"Cameron, you really need to stop freaking girls out with your shitty pickup lines," Michael says behind me, making me jump, again. What's with these guys?

"What the fuck is wrong with you guys? Can you not leave me alone!" I say glaring at the two of them.

"Ok, ok we'll stop now!" Cameron says waving his arms around dramatically.

"Good, I can finally leave," I say whilst huffing. This time I'm determined to make it outside this damn forest without being interrupted, again.

Ok, so that's the first chapter of the book! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
