I checked the time and sighed.

"7 o'clock. Perfect." I got up, showered and changed into a blush coloured maxi dress and some black heeled booties.

Downstairs I grabbed a bloodbag and downed the content.

"Goodmorning." Elijah greeted me slight concern in his eyes.

"Morning. What's wrong?"

"Your talk with Damon made me worried." He explained.

I sighed and walked over to the sink to wash my hands.

"Everything is fine. Just a bad dream."

Elijah approached me and looked at me with curiousness.

"What happened after Damon killed Jeremy?"

"Really? You listened to the whole conversation?!"

He srugged and I continued with another sigh: "Elena showed her real face. She told Damon their friendship was over but in the end she just manipulated him and pushed his buttons to get what she want. That was the time I really started hating her.."

"Huh." Elijah raised an eyebrow. "That sounds like Katherine to me."

"Sorry to dissapoint you but it was Elena; Showing her real face."

I winked when Rebekah entered: "As I said: Everything's fine until she stabbs you in the back."

I laughed and a small smile played around Elijah's lips.

"What are you laughing about?" Hayley entered the kitchen from the balcony with a cup of tea in her hand.

"Elena."

She rolled her eyes. "Uh, I hate her."

We burst out laughing and I couldn't really stop until Nik entered.

"Nik." I stopped laughing as the emotions made me shiver.

Rebekah next to me gave me a confused look.

"Goodmorning, love."

"Morning." I whispered when my phone buzzed.

*Elijah's POV*

The moment Niklaus entered the room I could feel the tension between him and Penelope.

She sounded almost scared when she whispered a "Morning."

Rebekah looked confused and Hayley left the kitchen quietly.

Penelope's phone buzzed and she sighed reliefed.

"Hey Damon." A smile was on her face.

It's just wonderful to see how much family means to her. It makes her a wonderful person and maybe show would help Nik..

The smashing of her phone ripped me out of my thoughts.

"Penelope!" Rebekah rushed over to her but when Penelope tunred around tears streamed down her face.

"What's wrong?" I kneeled down beside her.

"It's Bonnie. She's-- dead." Her eyes were wide when realisation seemed to hit her again.

Nik took a sharp breath and wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm so sorry, love." He whispered as he pulled her closer.

Although my family brought them pain ourselves it still hurt to see how much they all lost.

"The funeral is tomorrow." She said between sobs.
