Chapter Thirty-Eight: The Monstrous Reunion
The ocean was calm and peaceful, the sea life within it swam about in the water till a large shadow covered them causing the fish to flee in fright a the newcomers arrival as it passed by above them. The calm surface was disrupted into mad waves as the King of monsters swam, his eyes set into determination as he knew that he couldn’t save the world alone along with the people he cared for. He no longer cared for his pride despite him being back into his true self he knew deep down if all this was said and done with Hans defeat he would never come back to his form again not after what he plans to do to those who want to bring harm to Elsa, his Elsa and also his queen. The rays of the sun warmed the spikes along his back as it approached noon. He knew at his pace he would near his destination soon.
A lone man stood facing the coast, his face that has aged through time harden as he felt the presence of the last person he knew would come looking for him. He knew that this day would come after so many years he knew. He wouldn’t let him take him away from his family the ones he gave up a life he once had to be with them, with her. The only person who seen him more than what he was and still loved him. The thought of her brought a smile to his face and he was now ready to defend her by all means necessary. A loud rumble was heard from the distance announcing his arrival as the sea bursted and rose up revealing his worst fear as it stood to its full height and roared out but he remained there as if expecting someone to show up. The man stood there watching him, he knew something was off as he watched him. It wasn’t long till he too roared out a warning but the creature remained as his ember eyes locked onto to his target as a bright swirling fire surrounded him and revealed a large dragon, its scales white and its eyes red as blood as it stared at his opponent in fierce determination. Its mighty wings spread out in challenge ready to fight the King of Monsters as it bursted into the air in great speed charging his opponent. Godzilla roared out bracing himself as he took the impact of the dragon’s aerial assault.
“Helios! Stop this now! There’s no point in fighting this isn’t what i’m here for.” He roared out grabbing the side of the dragon’s head and slamming him into the sea causing it to erupt in waves. The white dragon Helios slowly stood up his red eyes burning in determination.
“I’m the Great Dragon of The West, Do you really take me for a fool? I knew you’d come and seek me out one day after what i did.” Helios growled out before he unleashed his breath of fire covering Godzilla who only stood there in the flames looking at him in irritation. He slowly turned around and whipped his mighty tail slamming it into the side of Helios’ jaw sending him crashing into the shore the cliffs crumbling upon him.
“I don’t care about what you did, I’m here for your help nothing more.” Godzilla growled out as he walked towards the pile of debri where Helios laid beneath. His eyes narrowed from the lack of movement and quickly became on guard wondering what Helios was up to.
“And what...help would you need me for?” Helios finally asked as he finally climbed out of the rubble staring at Godzilla in curiosity. The titian stood there silently trying to find the words to explain to his soon to be ally of the current situation. Helios saw this and knew that what he said was true and patiently waited till he found his words.
“There’s a threat among us, a single human plans to destroy all life on this world for his ruling… and by doing so he took someone precious to me, a young woman many consider a queen these days. She holds a power similar to us and the man has taken her from me. If she dies it will be the end of everything.” He explained to him and the dragon growled knowing what that means. He too would lose the ones he cared for. But to his surprise the mightiest of them all has fallen for a human and has full intentions to save her by all means necessary. He didn’t need to say anything as Godzilla returned to sea knowing that Helios would follow from the skies above.
Westleton
The old Duke sat alone in his study still filled in anger that he didn’t get his satisfaction of revenge on the Queen. He looked out the closest window into the night sky overlooking the small town outside his castle. He walked closer to the window when he spotted lights from the distance. His eyes furrowed and immediately yelled for his guards as two men stormed into the room.
“I believe we have some company, go ready the men quickly.” He ordered and they left without further delay leaving him alone once again. He knew something was amiss but he couldn’t tell exactly what as he saw the ships near closer into view.
Jonathan stood near the rail of the ship watching as they neared their destination. The men around him grew tense as they prepared for their assault on Westleton. The waves crashed among the ships as they sailed silently when a sudden noise erupted out of nowhere. The noise itself startled the men as it pierced their very souls as they’ve looked around for the source. Kristoff barged out from below decks eyes wide as he ran from the nearest siding.
“Kristoff!” Jonathan exclaimed seeing the young man on the ship as he marched towards him.
“What are you doing here?” He demanded and the young man looked down at him as he turned to face the elder man.
“They have my wife and i want to do everything in my power to bring her back home safely.” He said with fierce determination. Jonathan was about to retort when he seen the water beginning to rise, even from the distance they were from it it was huge and moving towards them. Spikes became visible from the surface as it neared. Jonathan smirked as he looked at he awed Kristoff.
“You’re not the only one going to be doing everything in your power to get them home.” He said as he watched his friend make his entrance. The only thing that bothered him was that Mathias wasn’t slowing down. His knuckles turned white as he gripped the railing as hard as he could.
“Everyone brace for impact!!” He yelled and the rest of the crew scrambled to grab anything that was sturdy. The sound of the water was near deafening as the massive titan neared the ship. Jonathan closed his eyes preparing for worst but the ship suddenly dipped to one side causing him to look and see the his friend disappeared. Shocked he dashed to the other side of the ship followed by everyone else and looked down below and surely enough Mathias dived below going past the ships towards Westleton re emerging as he got close to shore. The lights of the village there quickly vanished within seconds becoming complete darkness. The sounds of screaming could be heard from where they were till it all suddenly became deadly silent. The men looked on both bewildered and frightened as they wondered what happened.
Westleton
The duke slowly got up from the floor his head throbbing from the questions that pounded his mind. He reached the balcony of his study and looked outside and saw nothing but darkness. The sound of rushing water could be heard from below as he looked up at the moonless sky.
“What just happened?” He asked himself in fright has he stumbled back a bit. He spotted a bright blue in the water and he narrowed his eyes curiously as it got closer to the surface. A massive tail emerged from the water and rose above that of his tower. The lights seemed to glow forward and up slowly revealing a large monstrous figure at it glared down towards him its ember eyes glowed fiercely and the dukes eyes widened remembering the savage man who has had those same eyes.
“My god…it can’t be” He whispered to himself as he was soon enveloped within a burning blue light.
The men watched in horror as whatever was left of westleton was destroyed within seconds as Mathias burned everything.
“I would never wish this upon my worst enemy…” Jonathan said as he watched the destruction before him. The massive shadow figure lifted up its head and a roar boomed from its mighty jaws as it moved back into the sea.
“Why would he destroy it? Surely he realized that the queen was there right?” One of the men asked. Jonathan turned around and looked at all of them fear in their eyes as they looked at him for answers.
“He wouldn’t have done what he did if the queen was there, He cares about her safety too much to risk it.” He said and looked as his mighty friend swam away from them.
“Ready the sails we’re following him now!” He commanded and the ship became alive with activity as they began to follow Mathias to his next destination.
