Chapter Eight
Jade's POV
My eyes widened when I saw him turn around to make eye contact with me. I froze in my spot. He stared at me for a second, as if trying to remember a familiar face. He hazel eyes that I used to get lost in, but now feared, stared at me in disbelief.
"Jade? What are you...?" Perrie looked at the direction I was looking in. I heard her gasp. The other girls looked too, and their faces filled with shock.
"W-where... how did he?" I tried to get out.
"We should leave, now," said Jesy through gritted teeth as she stared at Jayden with pure hatred. He began to walk over to me, still with a blank expression.
"Why the hell are you here?!" said Leigh-Anne getting in Jayden's way with clenched fists.
"I work here," he said, still staring at me. His voice sent shivers down my spine. Last time I had heard that voice was... that terrible night. I was still frozen, not knowing what to do.
My contiguous screamed at me get out of his sight, out of this building. To just run as fast as I could to get away from him. But I couldn't. I couldn't move. I was stuck.
"Jade, I haven't seen you in -" he started but was quickly cut off by Leigh.
"Don't you dare speak to her," she spat.
"You've hurt her enough," said Jesy, stepping forward next to Leigh.
"Jade, I've missed you," he said, showing a soft smile, ignoring the two girls. He reached out a hand to me, but to have Leigh-Anne smack it away.
"Don't touch her. You need to leave. No, we need to leave. Lets go," Leigh-Anne grabbed my arm, pulling me with her, and the girls following behind. Once we were out side, we went straight to the car.
"Jadey, are you okay?" asked Perrie once we were safely in the vehicle. I opened my mouth to say something, but then I broke down. I began to sob with fear and I started shaking like mad, for vivid memories were being rushed before my eyes.
His cold dark eyes that night. The smell of alcohol radiating off him. The loud thunders of the clouds outside...
The pain.
"It's okay Jade, he won't hurt you again," cooed Perrie, squeezing me tightly.
"I thought he was arrested. I thought he, he was gone from my life. How did he find me?" I whispered.
As we drove away I glanced out the window, to see Jayden peering outside the door we came of. He watched the car drive away. The only thing that relieved me was the fact that the distance between me and him was getting larger.
"Jade, what happened back there?" asked out manager from the front seat. I didn't answer, instead I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to stop the images of that night from flashing in my head.
I prayed that this was truly the last time I would see Jayden.
But a part if me knew it wasn't.

Sam's POV
"Wow that was intense," said Mitch as we walked out of cinema, the cool night breeze hitting my face.
"It wasn't that bad," I said as I adjusted my SnapBack. We had just went to see the newest horror movie. It was actually the best horror movie I've seen by far, which meant it was absolutely horrifying.
"Wasn't that bad? Oh really? Said the guy who yelped like a little girl!" laughed Mitch.
"That wasn't me! It was the chic behind me!" I shouted in defense.
"Sure," retorted Mitch sarcastically.
"Shut up," I said, pushing him.
"Woah, don't touch the merchandise kay?"
"What merchandise?" I chuckled. Mitch rolled his eyes. We got in my car, me at the drivers seat.
"Drop me off at Perri's will ya?" asked Mitch, looking down at his phone.
"How come?"
"He said he needed my help with somethin," answered Mitch.
"Okay."
Once I had dropped off Mitch, I drove back to my flat. I opened the door, then closing it behind me. I took off my sweater, throwing it on a chair. When I walked into the living room, and to my surprise I Jade sitting on the couch. She turned her head and saw me, quickly getting up and running to me. She hugged me tightly.
"Jade! Its so late, what are you doing here?" I asked, still surprised.
Jade looked up at me, and her eyes puffy and red.
Had she been crying?
Worry overwhelmed my body. "What's wrong?"
~~~~
"Then we left, but I saw him out the window staring at the car. Sam, I was so scared, what if he would hurt me again?" Jade asked.
"I will never let him hurt you Jade, I promise," I replied, squeezing Jade in my arms. She had told me that she saw Jayden, her ex boyfriend the hit her. On the inside I wanted to find this Jayden and beat him, so he could feel Jade's pain.
I swear, if he comes near Jade, I will. No doubt. I will not risk her getting hurt because of him.
I was disgusted by him. He's a coward for hitting a woman. Especially Jade. She's sweet, innocent. There's no reason that anyone should hurt her. But he did, and I hated him for it.
We stayed silent for a bit; she was holding on to me as we sat on the couch, resting my chin on the top of her head.
"Are you alright?" I asked, looking down at her.
"Yes," she sighed.
"Good," I said, kissing her head,"I hate it when your sad."
I didn't want Jade worrying about Jayden. I had to make sure he never saw her again. I had to keep the distance between as big as possible.
