It suddenly occurred that maybe walking out of safety with two random people that may or may not be my brother and his friend was a really stupid thing to do. Of course, being tied up by this so-called 'brother' isn't usually I good time to realise something like that, but hey, give me a break. I was having an emotional roller-coaster.
"You liar!" I screamed at Jason as two men wearing black dragged me to a chair in a weird room and wrapped lots of rope around my upper body. The walls, ceiling and floor were all covered with black marble and everywhere I looked there were doors (later on I counted the doors as I was bored- there were 19) and they all looked identical, which meant that there was a 1 in 19 chance that I would go through the door that led to the exit.
"I wasn't lying, Evie," he said softly, squatting his legs so he was at eye level with me. "I'm really your brother."
I scoffed. "I don't think brothers usually ask their balaclava-clad weird men-friends to tie their sisters up."
"Evie, there's really something you need to get. I'm like... A bad guy. You've always been the good guy."
"When did this turn into a weird spy movie? This isn't Harry Potter..."
"Harry Potter? That's not a spy movie, but I suppose we can take it as an example. You're Harry-"
"I'm a wizard?" I asked, stalling him while I tried to remember the way we came so I could escape.
"No, No! You're the good person, OK? I'm Voldemort."
"Voldemort? He doesn't have a nose, and as far as I can see, you do. And I doubt you've made any horcruxes."
He sighed loudly, and stood up. "No, Evie. Voldemort's the bad guy."
"Wouldn't you be a death eater? Even in your little evil-dudes club, there has to be a leader, and I doubt you're him."
"Fine, YES! I am a death eater. I'm Bellatrix."
"You're in love with your boss?"
"Hell no! He's a man."
"So? You could be gay-"
"For the record, I have a girlfriend."
"Sally the imaginary friend doesn't count!" I teased.
"Shut up! You're arguing like kids. Jason, Quinn's looking for you. She's not happy, mate."
I didn't notice that someone else was in the room. Oliver seemed to have left ages ago with the black-clothed men that had tied me up, and someone else had taken his place. He was quite good looking, with blonde, short hair and brown eyes. He was dressed in black, just as the security guards.
"Thanks, Landon." And with that, Jason sped away down one of the corridors.
"Who the hell are you?" What, nobody said I had to be polite to random people that kidnapped me.
"I'm Landon, as your big bro just said," he drawled. He had an aura of superiority, which I can never stand.
"That's nice. Can you untie me?" He looked at me, as if considering whether to oblige or not. Hesitantly, he walked towards my freezing metal chair (they couldn't have used a more comfortable, warmer material?) and untied the several layers of rope that were around me.
I took this as my chance and aimed a hard punch at him, but he only-too-easily dodged, which made me spin once on my feet due to the energy I put into it.
"Don't waste your energy, babe," he said, which annoyed me severely.
"Let me go. I was much happier when I was memory-less on Mount Kinabalu."
He stared at me open-mouthed, which I guessed was very out of character. "You were memory-less?"
"Yes, you idiot, that's what I just said. Don't you listen?"
He regained his cool, collected look and I, very maturely, I might add, stuck my tongue out at him.
Landon laughed (hey- alliteration!). "So, would you like a tour?"
"A- a tour?" I gaped. "Yeah. All of our kidnapees are very welcome to one if they choose to."
"Sure…" I said slowly.
We walked over to the door that I think Jason left out of, and slowly made our way through the never-ending corridor. We didn't see the 'important stuff', as Landon called it, but we did run into several people, including my brother and his girlfriend, Quinn, who was rather very pretty.
At first, I thought it would be a trap, but I was delighted to find that no arrows or grenades were thrown at me, and I decided to make the most of being kidnapped.
