I'm in love. He's six foot and loves to play soccer. We met in high school. He used to tell me I was special, before he told me who and what we both were...

"Hey! Jamie! What you doing after school?" Micha was running towards me and he had a HUGE smile on his face.

"I don't know Homework I guess, but nothing much else."

"Good," He was still smiling, and a group of girls were staring at him . I glared at them, while he said, "Because I'm taking you to dinner."

"Okay, I guess, just pick me up at six." I gave one last glare to the group of girls, and started to go to class. I stopped, turned around, and said suspiciously, "Wait a minute. You never take me out to dinner, you never let me pick the time, and you always argue with me of where to go. What do you have up your sleeves?"

He walked over, and wrapped his arms around my waist. He pulled me close while saying, "Why can't you trust me?" I gave him my best 'tell me face.' "All right, I'll tell you," He took a deep breath and looked down at me. "I'm going to pick you up on a surprise, take you to a surprise place, and give you a surprise. You satisfied now?"

"All right just making sure you weren't sick or something." At that moment I wanted to kiss him so badly that I had to get out of the ring of his arms to control myself. "Bye. See you later." I walked away smiling. This felt like the best moment of my life.

I walked down the hall through the now thinning crowd. Every now and then I'd see the occasional couple making out in the shadows, wondering when they'd be seen. I looked for my best friend. I stopped nearby her and her boyfriend who was having a conversation with her and I waited till they had a quick kiss on the cheek and Santi walked over to me.

"Hey! Was sup Chika?" She said, swaggering over to me.

"Nothing much, how 'bout you?"

"Same. Hey what you doing for dinner? I was thinkin' you know the works. Pizza, Ice Cream, and a good chick flick. You realize that tomorrow is your b'day and my little Chika will be seventeen. And I know that we made plans for you to come to my house at 11 tonight, but I wanted to see you a little earlier, say for dinner?" She said in her Jamaican accent.

"Sorry Santi, I have a date. I told Micha we had to do something tonight for a while and the rest of the night and tomorrow were yours. So I have a date. He is doing something special for it. I can't wait!"

"That is so exciting! I wonder what he's going to give you... a real kiss! I hope so. He might be taking you somewhere romantic..... I wish that Way would take me somewhere romantic! That would be heavenly..."

"Santi! Stop talking! You seem to do that whenever I talk about Micha. What is wrong with you?"

She smiled softly and answered, "Oh I think it's just that I wish that kiti gasonestipid would take me somewhere romantic...."

I suddenly felt bad for her. She and Wayan had an arranged marriage. They didn't choose who they would marry. Ever. I abruptly realized that she would always have a happy ending... minus her true love. She would grow to love Way but that would take a while for her. Not for anyone else though. Poor Way, he will have the hardest time getting her to love him. He is built like a god! All the girls fawn all over him. If I hadn't seen Micha on the first day of 7th grade, I would've gone for him.

If anything I would've felt bad, but he's a great guy. She's lucky to have him. I started to turn towards my classroom.

"Wait!" I heard a voice yell inside my head. I stopped and looked around. All of a sudden there was an explosion in the classroom ahead of me. I ducked under a table. I heard screaming and felt the burning fire on my face. Time slowed. I heard the screaming of my name. I saw Micha's face in front of me and everything went black.
