Kellin's POV

I one hundred percent agreed to go to breakfast with Mama and Papa, just once small fact... I don't eat very much. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day I went without anything but I'll move it to Monday.

I opened the door to see my mother sobbing against the wall. "What's wrong M-Ms. Bostwick?" I asked softly and went into the kitchen for water. "You! I have to waste my time thinking about how I raised a faggot who's no good for anything!" She stood up and backhanded me. I felt the tears pile in my waterline, but I blinked them away

"P-Please just drink this Mam, I'll help you up to bed." I put my arm around her. She punched me a few times in the stomach by the time I got her to her bed. "Good Night." I brushed the hair from her face and kissed her forehead. I hate her, but I still fucking love her.

"Faggot." She hissed before kicking me away.

When I got outside of her room I let out the tears. I was sobbing. What did I do wrong?

"Thank you Kells." Kate sat next to me and held my hand. It didn't help. I only cried harder into her shoulder.

It was he morning and I had went over to Gabe's to grab clothes. After a quick shower I changed into black skinny jeans, much like yesterday, a CrankThatFrank T-shirt and Vic's hoodie he let me borrow.

I had to walk to the Cafe we were meeting up at. I was feeling excited but nervous. They said they wanted to get to know me better. I wondered what they were going to ask.

I got there just on time as I seen the car I fixed up pull in the drive. I didn't feel the need to cover my whole face. Just my cheek. So that's what I did. I was greeted by welcoming arms of Mama. I hugged her back as I did Papa.

"How many?" The waiter, Tay, asked as we walked in. "Three." Papa smiled. "Oh my god I can see your eye. Are you okay?" Tay asked.

"Haha, funny. You dick." I muttered at her. "Aw lil Kell doesn't like that." She pinched my good cheek.

"I'm three years older then you Tay, please stop." I whined." What would you like to drink?" She asked us as we sat down. "Don't even bother Kellin, I know yours." She rolled her eyes when I went to speak up. "Orange Juice?"

"Coffee."

"Okay. Here are the menus. I'll be back in a second with your drinks." She smiled

"Is Kellin your real name?" Mama asked, causing me to nod. "Yeah, she's one of my buddies' sister."

"It's a cute name. It fits you." Papa smiled.

"Thanks." I chuckled as Tay came back. She set down my very feminine type of cheap coffee and handed the two theirs.

"Thanks."

"Thank you."

"Do you know what we want?" She asked.

"Kellin, do you know what you want?" Mama asked me. "Yeah I'm good. You?"

"Can we get two cinnamon hot cakes?"

"Can I get waffles?"

"Of course. I'll be back." She messed up my hair.

I took a sip of the coffee and they both rooked at. The coffee was scolding hot but it didn't bother me. "How did you just drink that?" He asked.

"I can't feel pain in my tongue. I can only taste with the right side." I shrugged it off. "Why? What happened?" My mama sounded worried.

I sighed and moved my hair from my whole face. "My dad threw a knife at me once. Then a week later I was out passed curfew, by two minutes and he got pissed and pushed the knife through my whole cheek and it hit a nerve in my tongue. The final time it was a knife was when I got mugged in Oregon It's always been difficult to heal and it's so easy to open the wound again. Which is what happened two weeks ago when I got backhanded." I explained. "I don't don't have a reason to hid my face, and Vic and I made friends at the concert but he doesn't know it was me. I just feel he'll be mad because he told me a lot of things." I sighed.

"What did he tell you?" She asked.

"Just that he mad liked me and how he would watch me in study hall, pretending to sleep. Even in art I've noticed him looking at me but I always figured he was judging me. He like just kept talking and talking about me. It was adorable to be honest." I laughed at the end. Papa chuckled. "You'll be good for him. I know that."

"How's your home life? I know you mentioned your Papa left." He added and I just bit my lip. "My uh, My mother kicked me out a week ago. I'm living with one of my friend's and his parents. I don't plan to stay there long before I get my own place. I have a job and stuff so I just need to find a apartment. Anyway, my mom drinks a lot since my dad left. I went home last night because my sister Kate texted me that she was drunk and threatening her but I didn't wake up until my mom called me. I went home and basically forced water down her throat. She went to bed after a few minutes." I shrugged it off.

"Did either of your parents hurt you? They both seem to drink a lot." Mama grabbed my hand from over the table in a motherly way. "Y-Yeah... My dad did a lot. He always acted as if it didn't happened when he wasn't drunk. My mom only did sometimes, never to Kate though. Its okay though, I'm okay." I sent a reassuring smile.

"Are you positive?" Papa asked as she squeezed my hand. "What about last night?" He added.

"I'm sure. And it wasn't so bad last night. " I pulled my hand away to bite at my fingernail. "So she did hurt you last night?"

"She only slapped me and hit my side when I was carrying her to her room. Like said I'm okay." I laughed at it. It hurt though. A lot. "How do you, or did you deal with it? Like it must've mad you upset or something." Mama sounded sorrowful, I didn't mean to upset you guys.

"Uh, well I write songs. Or just words down. I used to um.... Don't hate me for this. Please." I begged. "I used to do drugs. I was addicted to heroine for a year and a half. It was a year ago though. I'm better now."

I looked down to my legs once I seen the horrid look in their eyes. "Sweetie that... That's terrible." Mama whispered. "I know. I didn't at the time though."

"Was there anything else you did or currently do?"Papa asked.

"I'm a week in a half clean from self harm. It probably won't last but I am trying." I sighed. "May we see?" Papa spoke softly. Scared to hurt me it seemed. I bit my lip and raised my sleeves. "You don't deserve to do that to yourself. Especially when Vic told us how you wanted him to repay you the ticket. He loves you y'know? I can see it in his eyes. I can see it in yours that you love him too. With enough second chances, you'll be together forever." Papa smiled at me but his eyes had actually started to water. "Sorry-Sorry. Just... Vic's arms were once like that too, and soon yours will be like his." He apologized. I slipped my sleeves down.

"He told you what I said?" I asked. "He never shuts up about you. He cried on the way home from school when you made eye contact last year."

That caused me to giggle.

"Okay here we have all of our meals. Thank you for being patient. I kinda... dropped the tray when your food was done and it got everywhere but we made you a clean and untouched by the floor food." She laughed. "Do you guys' need anything else or are we good?" She asked. "We're good. Thanks."

"Kellin if you ever feel like you need a parent or an adult or someone to talk to, we've got a spare key under the second rock. Come anytime." Mama took my hand and kissed the top of it. "Thank you. A lot." I smiled at them.
