I buttoned my jeans, leaving a tiny imprint in both my thumbs. Crawling back into the front and looking at the marks on my neck, I realized are thumbs aren't the only thing 'imprinted'. I knew I'd need to find a way to hide them, but I was going to enjoy these damn hickies while they lasted.
Austin's going to find out and he's dropping you. He's probably going to anyways because you just can't seem to do anything right. All you do is cry to the first person you can find and ruin their lives too.
I bit down on my tounge, I didn't want anything to ruin this perfectly good moment. Me and Cody.
Maxx and Cody, Maxx and Cody. Our names just sound like they melt together, like ingredients in a cake. They taste good in my mouth when I say them, and buzz around in my head when I think it.
About Cody, looking over at him starting the car, he seemed a lot more anxious and flustered then he usually does. That couldn't be right, we literally just did the number one stress reliever of all time.
Maybe you're just a whore and can't see everything wrong with this.
I felt a tiny pang in my chest pushing myself down in the seat, suddenly not liking anything about sitting here.

I needed out of this house. The air was hard to breathe and I felt like someone had their hands around my throat. It was guilt was eating me alive.
But surely cheating on Austin wasn't wrong. It was so right when it was happening, I was finally getting a little bit of closure after everything's Austin has done to me.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
Everything was so right being held in Cody's arms, but my conscience was getting the better of me. Just a whisper was dragging me out of this happy place.
Do you even have the deceny to tell him?
He's going to do terrible things to you when he finds out.
What about your friends? Your family? What are they going to think?
"Cody," I didn't know what I was saying, just I needed to go back. The singer hummed in response. "C-can you get me something to drink, please?" Being the sweetie Cody is, he moved his away arm from my shoulders, got up, and walked over to the kitchen without a second thought. This was my opportunity to get away. I needed to leave this behind and everything would get better, right? We could both forget and it's go back to normal.
Run while you can, while you still have the slack.
Taking in a shaky breath, I stood up and began stalking my way toward the door, desperately trying not to let my sneakers make any noise.
He'll forget about you, everyone else does.
I had a palm on the door handle. Just one turn and I'd be gone. It felt like I was digging a tunnel, or running. But I was escaping my prison, or was I shoving myself back in a grave?
Whatever you do, Austin's going to get you one way or another. He always does. Just go while you can and it'll all be better.
The glass shattering buzzing from the kitchen, a not-so-silent 'Shit', and I was out the door. Slamming it shut, I rushed over to a little alley I knew would take me straight to mine and Austin's house. My feet knew where to go, but my head was having a completely different conversation. Cody started yelling my name from afar. I kept on with my pace and soon enough the shouting silenced. If anyone heard they'd probably assume it's a lost puppy.
