Chapter 15

Martinus's POV:

"Angel! Is that you?" I asked very loudly.

Angel paused for a moment...
She has a knife in her hand...

"Angel..." I said frightening.

"NO MARTINUS!" she screamed very loudly and angry.

I tried to get closer.

"STAY THERE WHERE YOU ARE OR I'LL KILL HER!" she screamed loudly.

I took a step backwards.
While I was trying to distract Angel, Marcus went quiet backwards away.

I understand what Marcus wants to do.
He wants namely to go behind Mackenzie to take the knife away so no one could be injured or killed.

"Angel easy..." I said trying to calm her.

She took the knife closer to Eveline.

"Why are you doing this Angel?" I asked disappointed.

"YOU KNOW WHY MARTINUS!" she said angry.

"What are you talking about?" I asked surprised.

"DON'T PRETEND YOU DON'T KNOW IT MARTINUS!" she screamed loudly.

"I don't know what you mean Angel..."
I said confusing.

"WHY DOES EVERYONE AT SCHOOL SAY THAT SHE'S YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND!" she screamed even louder than before.

"I can explain Mackenzie...I replied.

She took the knife closer to Eveline's neck.

"Listen to me!" I said bravely.

"I'M LISTENING!" she said loudly.

"Will you first not yell so loud please?" I asked.

"I SAID: I LISTEN!" she shouted even louder.

"Okay okay...
Indeed, I was with you before I asked Eveline...
I know Eveline already sinds when we were born!
We did everything together!
She, Marcus and me!
Until she had to move suddenly...
That was a big hit in our hearts for Marcus and me.
Now that we've come back together, I began to feel something for her...
I'm sorry Angel...
I am really really sorry...

Before Marcus could take the knife out of her hands, she cut Eveline by her neck.
Angel ran immediately away.

"MARTINUS THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! I LOVE YOU!" she shouted angry.

I ignored her.
She walked away.

"Martinus... Marcus..." Eveline said very quietly.

We nodded both.

"I love you both!" she said with difficulty.

She held Marcus's hand and my hand.
Before Marcus or I could say anything, she stopped breathing.

"Let's go to the hospital, right now!" Marcus shouted crying.

"Marcus... it's too late..." I said sad.

Marcus bursted into tears! 😭
It looked exactly like he cared more about her than me!

"Marcus why do you care so much?After all, I was her boyfriend." I said confidently.

"You don't understand... Martinus!" he said tearfully.

"Tell me Marcus!" I shouted angry.

"I LOVE HER! OKEH?" he shouted angry.

"Why Marcus?" I asked shocked.

"I've always loved her.... Since we were 5 years old!" he said sad.

I was shocked.
I was speechless too...

"Now it's too late... Martinus..." he said sad.

"Why!?" I asked curiously.

"You've taken her away from me Martinus... I will never forgive you for this!" He said super angry.

He ran away crying.

"Marcus wait!" I shouted loud.
