Misha
"Hi, who is this" I asked while walking through the lonely roads.
"Hey, actually I have been seeing my phone number in contact list for a long time -"
"and that's why you called me? Could have left a message, Man." I interpreted.
"Uhh… I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I'll never call again." and before I could say anything he hung up. Good. Made the work easier for me.
Whoever this person was, he was annoying. How could someone get my phone number randomly? I didn't had much time to think about that situation and reached home.
At Evening, I went to siya's house as I said earlier. We watched an action movie while chit- chating with eachother. Muskan was also with us but she was busy with doing a project. I didn't open up about this dating app thing because I thought I would seem stupid. What I was doing was actually wrong. I wanted to keep my intentions clean with others. Yes , for sure they were my friends but we all have our boundaries.
On the same night, Prateek and I talked alot. About silly things. Some things were inapprociate. Well, actually alot were. I had to think of an answer to reply him everytime. Make up a wrong story again. Never knew I had this talent. Pretending. Unlike me, the way I talked with him was different. Tripti was a flirty, men-are-everything women. Witty and intelletual at the same time. But for god's sake it was fun. She was a spoiled Daddy's princess. I spended alot of time talking about how much money she had. Prateek on the other hand was sweet more like 'chessy'. He forced dialogues which clearly indicated that he wanted to impress me. Still he was interesting. Somethings about him were authentic.
For the next week, the same drama kept going on. But I started liking some part of him. Who knew he was also fake? Maybe he was someone else. Pretending just like me. In that time period, I used to lie awake till 5:00 in morning. I was addicted to this madness. Spended most of the time on my phone ignoring the surroundings.
"Misha"
"Misha!"
"Ehh… are you hearing me?" I felt a tap on my shoulder. My Mom came all of a sudden.
"Yes, what's the matter?"
"I should ask you that? I didn't eat anything after coming home? Why so.. Just because we were out in your Aunt's house doesn't mean you wouldn't eat!" She yelled.
Sh*t. I forgot to eat. I slept the whole time since I was awake last night. Without saying anything I moved towards the dinning room with a weird expression in my face. Basically the lunch was my dinner.
