"Hey it's the pink haired kid you bumped into not too long ago!"
Said pink haired boy flinched at the recognition of the stern female voice. His body started to shake, fear pulsing through his veins. Don't turn around, don't turn around, don't turn around..!
"Hey pinky, are you new here?" The same mocking voice barked. Isaac heard their footsteps getting closer and closer. He was frozen in place, unable to move or speak. He felt stupid. Just say something!
"I- I.. Uhm.. Y-yes." He choked out the words, making himself feel even more stupid.
"You a freshie?"
"N-no.. Sophomore.."
"Hey, turn around, would ya? I hate talking to your back-"
"N-no!" The pink haired boy squeaked. He fumbled to push up his slipping glasses again. What a total idiot.
"Hey hey now." The deep voice spoke right in his ear, making him jump a foot. How is he right there? Isaac didn't even hear his footsteps!
Finally gaining the courage, he turned around slowly to see what he predicted; two boys and a girl. The girl looked around his age; oddly she had silver hair that reflected like metal and menacing purple eyes. The pink haired boy found it best not to mess with her. One of the boys seemed around his age as well; he had brown hair, red eyes, and a creepy smile. The other boy though.. he was.. uhm-- Never mind that! He definitely looked like a junior or senior but despite that he had jet black hair, deep navy blue eyes, and a gorgeous body figu-
"No! Stop that!" Isaac slapped his cheeks as hard as he could. The three stood there, confused why he slapped himself.
"Are you.. Okay?" Spoke the black haired boy.
"I-I.. Y-you saw n-nothing." He responded, his face burning up. He was definitely blushing. The three could probably tell as well. How embarrassing.
"Well then," the ho- black haired boy- placed a hand on Isaac's shoulder, "what brings you outside of class pinky? You like to ditch?"
"N-no, I just don't kn-know my way around."
He laughed and grabbed him in a chokehold, rubbing his knuckles on the pink haired boy's head, knocking his glasses off. "Aren't you just absolutely adorable, Mr. Goodie Two-shoes~! What do you think guys?"
The silver haired girl sighed and rolled her eyes as the brown haired boy jumped in excitement. "Are you planning on keeping him? Are you? Are you??"
"Zenix, calm yourself. You're getting way into it. All pinky said was he doesn't like ditching," the black haired boy paused, making the chokehold tighter and moving his head closer to Isaac's ear, "which is something we could definitely change."
"Aww Gene, you're making him blush!" After Zenix said this, the pink haired boy realized his face was hot. How humiliating. Gene let go of him, laughing. Isaac was on his hands and knees, searching for his glasses until a hand was pressed against his back.
"Here," the pink haired boy assumed it was the girl who spoke, except this time a little more sympathetically, "at least I'm not as stupid as those idiots." She handed over his glasses, he taking it from her hands and putting it on.
"Sasha, who's the real idiot here? Out of the three of us you have the lowes-" Gene paused as he noticed her cold stare.
"Idiocy isn't relevant to lack of intelligence." Sasha's tone was stern again, her state still holding.
"Why did you call us stupid?" Zenix over exaggeratedly cocked his head.
"Because I'm not pestering the kid like you two are."
"Well what else are we supposed to do? We were bored." The brown haired boy sighed and looked at Isaac. He noticed that he was watching them attentively as if he were observing them. Zenix noted that his eyes were more glued on Gene, always turning away when he looked around. Weirdo.
"Maybe leave him alone so he could go to class? He probably actually cares about his education more than us."
"I.." the pink haired boy began but suddenly stopped.
"You what?" Sasha turned to him, looking at him sharply. He pushed up his glasses before mumbling indistinctly.
"Kid, speak up. We can't hear you-"
"I need help finding my classes!" Isaac's voice echoed through the hallways. Gene was taken aback for a slight second. This kid doesn't seem so bad. For sure, he is a nervous wreck, socially awkward, and a total geek but the black haired boy knew how to fix that.
"Say," Gene began, "if we help you find your classes, you can be a part of the Shadow Knights."
"Shadow.. Knights?"
"See! I told you that was a stupid gang na-" Sasha slapped the back of Zenix's head.
"Yeah. That's us. We're Phoenix Drop's dangerous and horrifying delinquents." The silver haired girl finished. She stared down Gene again before adding, "Unfortunately, he's our leader."
Appalled, said leader stood back and dramatically placed his hand over his heart, "'Unfortunately'? Oh come on, you guys practically love me!"
"Well-"
"Can we please let the kid answer?? You guys are so damn annoying. He's been waiting for us, isn't that right?"
Isaac turned to Sasha, pushing up his glasses. He nodded slowly as a silent thank you, she returning one as a you're welcome.
"So?"
"W-well.. Since I'm new here, i-it's not a bad idea-"
"Yes!" The silver haired girl slapped the brown haired boy again. Whimpering, he decided that he's stop before she gives him a concussion.
"So you're willing to join us, huh?" Gene tilted his head, smirking devilishly. Isaac nodded slowly, cowering down as the black haired boy came closer. He was awfully tall for the boy.
Gene snatched the schedule he held in his shaky hands. While he skimmed through the paper, Isaac twiddled his fingers nervously. Were they really going to help him? The "delinquents" helping the new kid? Was that normal in a stereotypical high school story??
"Geometry is over this way," the leader pointed down a hallway the pink haired boy just passed. His jaw dropped at how close he actually was to his destination. It was right by a vending machine, almost as if it were hiding behind it. Meh, it's convenient.
"T-thank you guys.." Isaac received waves and nods as he walked in his classroom.
