It was the end of third hour; time for lunch. Isaac has been struggling to find his classes without the Shadow Knight's help but he's barely been making it through with the help of passerby's. According to one of his helpers, he had lunch next. Wherever the hell the cafeteria was, he was determined to find it through the smell of food and sound of people.

Eventually, the pink haired boy found it. The cafeteria was pretty large; much bigger than his previous school. "Hey pinky!" Said person tensed at the sound of Zenix. He turned to face where the Shadow Knights sat, seeing Gene, Sasha, Zenix, and two other people Isaac couldn't identify. One of them was a huge werewolf who was most likely a senior and the other was a smaller boy, probably a freshman.

The Shadow Knights beckoned him to sit at their table, he doing so. "How coincidental how we have the same lunch together, huh?" The black haired junior eyed the sophomore as he chose his seat next to Sasha and the werewolf.

"Yeah, everything about this seems like a fanfic where everything goes right." Isaac commented.

The table was awkwardly silent. "Hey Gene," the small boy began softly, "who's the new guy?"

"Oh, right!" Gene stood up from where he sat, clearing his throat. "Isaac, this is Laurence, one of our newest Shadow Knight members," the junior directed his attention to the smaller boy. He looked at the pink haired boy and gave him a wave.

"And this is my boyfriend, Balto." Isaac's heart sank. He was already dating? As stupid as it sounds, he was hoping that he was single. Though, someone as hot as him wouldn't be single forever, the pink haired boy thought. And a plus side was that he knew the junior was-

"Hey pinky??" Sasha waved her hand in front of Isaac, bringing him back to reality.

"S-sorry." He pushed up his falling glasses once again. The sophomore dug through his backpack to see if he remembered to pack w lunch. To his dismay, there was nothing. Oh well. He could go for a whole day without eating, but that doesn't really matter.

Isaac scouted the table to see how the other "Shadow Knights" interacted with each other, seeing that he has to be a part of them. So far, Zenix and Sasha are somewhat close, though the silver haired girl loved to beat the other Shadow Knight.

Gene and Balto.. Well.. They're definitely close, that's for sure. Really close. In spite of Shadow Knight leader barking orders for Zenix and Sasha to stop fighting, he seemed very submissive to the werewolf. Was he the Alpha of the pack? If so, wouldn't that make Gene an Alpha too? Werewolves are so confusing.

And then there's Laurence. He's definitely seclusive and analytical like Isaac. It was almost as if he couldn't find a way to fit in, like it was forced to sit at this table. Though, his presence seemed very powerful and determined. The sophomore was quite fond of him so far.

"Hey Isaac!" The pink haired boy's head snapped in the direction he heard his name being called, finding himself looking at Aphmau.

"Af-meow?"

Said freshman giggled, though it wasn't a comfortable one, "Close enough. So what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to sit with them." She made it obvious that she didn't want to be anywhere near the Shadow Knights.

"You know, I'm your friend. You can sit with me if you want-"

"No thank you-"

"Hey," The werewolf walked toward her and growled, "are you trying to cause a trouble with us, runt?"

"I-I was just s-saying hi t-to my friend, Isaac." She gave Balto a fake smile, sweat trickling down her cheek as he neared.

"You know the runt?" Isaac trembled at his booming voice, barely forcing a nod.

"Hmph." The werewolf stopped in his tracks and Aphmau immediately bolted off to what the pink haired boy assumed was her lunch table.

"That runt means no good. She isn't the problem, though. Her mate is." Balto sighed, sitting back down with Gene laying on his shoulder.

"Who's her mate?" The junior seemed so fascinated with what his werewolf boyfriend had to rant about, which made Isaac feel a burning sensation of jealousy.

"Aaron."

"Oh. That dick?"

"Yep."

"My Irene, I absolutely hate him."

"Don't get so worked up about it." The werewolf ran his hand through Gene's thick, black hair. "He hasn't done anything to you, right?"

"Well-"

The lunch bell interrupted the couple's conversation.

"I'll text you later, babe." Gene embraced Balto and pressed his lips against the werewolfs', both smiling as they parted. At this point, Isaac didn't care about where his next class was or even attending it. He sat at the lunch table, staring blankly at where his dream man sat.

The pink haired boy was on the verge of tears. Unbelievable. Crying for someone who he just met. I'm so pathetic, he ripped his glasses off so he could bury his hands in his face comfortably. Of all of the people in this big school, why him? Why did he have to appear in his life if he was only going to make Isaac suffer? Why is this Gene guy, which the sophomore only met four hours ago, making him feel lovesick and all of these different emotions?

Why him??
