Never Let Me Go.

Chapter 1.5- Kallilope and Daniel Get Invited to a party. Somehow.

I walked into this week's Academic Team meet and saw her  and Daniel talking. I have been betrayed by my one line of defense.

After she left I asked Daniel why he was talking to her.

"Danny what the heck? She's evil!"

"She's not that bad, Lilly. She actually was just inviting me to a party at the lake."

"Are you gonna go? You don't really strike me as the party type, kiddo."

"I'm older than y- whatever. She is inviting me because she has this friend that is into guys and I am sick of being all lonely and depressed."

"Okay, at least let me go with you. You know what they do to kids like us at the lake.

"I mean, if you want, I guess you can be my wingman or something."

"Okay. That works. I'll meet you there"

"It's Friday at eight on the cliff. I can't believe I'm letting you do this Kallilope. Don't. Freaking. Embarrass me."

So that's that. The weird new girl is going to a party

-Clary's POV--

Me and my girls are having a bonfire at the lake, and a lot of our Eastcliff friends are coming. 

Calli says she has a nice surprise for us that her boyfriend, Aaron, has arranged. The last time that happened, we were at the old abandoned school and we locked a kid in the supply closet after we blindfolded and tied him up.

 I felt awful about it afterwords. I didn't talk to Calli or Chloe for three months, until eventually, they admitted that it was wrong. We were younger then, though. It wouldn't happen again, I know it. Aaron probably got a fake ID and is surprising us with beer or something. Or at least I hope that's what it is. I don't think I could handle another closet incident. Especially after everyone here being so kind to me.

 Aaron was the leader of our group. He was the one who decided who was allowed to date who, and who you were allowed to talk too. 

Honestly, if I had a choice, I would find better friends. 

But, sadly, the caste system of Big Pine keeps me from doing that. 

And it sucks.
