Never Let Me Go.

Prologue

----Clary's POV----

I just moved schools, and I have been top of my class at every school I've been at. This year would be the same. I had one friend before I moved.

His name is Austin. Let's just say he's not the best person to be around. He always tries to take me too parties, and convinces me to leave my phone at his house while I babysit his brothers. I was never up for these events.

I'm about 5'1", and I'm not skinny. I'm just about 125 pounds . Oh yeah! I almost forgot my name is Clary. I'm in 10th grade at Big Pine High, where everyone knows everyone.

My first day, I found my two best friends from my early childhood, Chloe and Calli, but I didn't recognize Chloe right away. Calli and I did everything together after school, but something was missing. This missing piece, was none other than Chloe.

I have been out of sports for three years because of a knee injury from 7th grade. I played basketball the year before and I was in cheer, and track. I really miss sports. It just doesn't feel right not being able to play.

-----Kalliope's POV----

I have been in Big Pine for three months and it is awful. My name is Kalliope Goodwin, I'm 15, a sophomore, a musical nerd, and as of now I am perpetually alone in a sea of faces all going to the same places. The only other new kid-so far, at least- is this girl named Clary. She is really pretty. I hate her. Mostly because she is good at sports, and smart, and despite how fricking gorgeous she is, likes boys. It makes my life very difficult. But seriously, she is so good at sports, it's not fair! Personally, I don't really like sports, but my parents want me to, so I pretend to. Tomorrow is the first meeting for the Big Pine High academic team, which is much more my speed. Maybe I can actually make friends there. Honestly, it's probably the only way I can make friends considering the fact that this entire school has like, eighty students and has no choir, or theatre, or band, or art, or other queer people. Ugh.
