-Clary's POV-

I woke up to my phone ringing and a knock on my bedroom door. I opened the door to see Alex. Not that it would be weird for my parents to let him in. They loved him. I slammed the door shut.

I about forgot that I brought Kallilope home with me. I looked to make sure that she's still asleep of course she was. I walked out the door, not realizing that I was in one of  Brylars tee shirts. Alex hated my attachment to Brylar.

He lightly grabbed my face asking "Oh baby, what happened?" Like he didn't know. I pushed him off of me and went to the bath room to try to cover the bruises on my face before my step mom came up to ask what I wanted for breakfast. He stood behind me, looking smug.

"Hey, don't get mad at me. Sometimes to make your girl behave you gotta push her around a little bit." He said, almost laughing

 "Leave. now." I said calmly.

''No, I'm not leaving. You don't really want me too anyway, and you know it. " He flirted.

"Leave, Alex."

"No. I don't take orders from disobedient hussies that don't know their place." He was getting mad, now.

"LEAVE ME ALONE! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" I screamed.

I had never yelled at him before. I had never yelled at anyone

"Aaron will hear about this."  He said, pushing me into the wall. Then he left.

I slammed the door and sat down against it. It was funny because my cold bathroom floor felt more comforting than he ever did.

I started crying, and didn't stop for a solid thirty minutes.

My step-mom came up stairs and knocked on the door. and asked if I wanted waffles.

"Make some for two, please." I said, remembering Kallilope.

Kallilope.

I wondered if she was awake by now.

--Kallilope's POV--

I woke up the second time in a bed with white sheets, a blue comforter, and tons of pillows. I couldn't remember where I was at first, and then I saw the trophies lining the book shelf.

How did I end up in Clary's bed?

Clary walked in a few minutes after I woke up.

"Hey sleepy head. You feeling better?" She asked

"Eh, I'm okay." I said, pushing my hair back.

My hands burned when I touched my hair. I looked at them and saw what had happened.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." I thought out loud.

"Oh. Yeah." She seemed sad.

"My Mom made waffles, if you want one." She said, regaining her bubbliness.

God, she was cute.

SHUT UP, BRAIN.

"Yes please, I'm starving."

As we were walking down the stairs, I swear she tried to hold my hand.
