Christmas, the happiest time of year. Colored lights that brighten the snow covered streets and tinsil covered trees with piles of tightly wrapped presents sitting beneath. It's a time to be jolly and be with family. At least that's what it was to everyone else.

To you, Christmas was just another day. You had no family and hardly any friends to see. You were friends with Tony Stark but he was usually too busy to spend much time with you. Besides, listening to the same songs for the hundredth time and freezing your butt off, had started to get to you.

The only time Christmas had held any meaning for you was when you were a kid. Back then, you had a close family and the lights and snow had seemed somehow magical. You remembered many Christmas eves that you had stayed up far past midnight in an attempt to catch Santa. Those days were long gone though.

The only party you had even been invited to was Tony's. Despite it being the only Christmas event you were asked to attend, you avoided it like the plague. His parties were usually a little too rowdy for your taste and filled with strangers. It's not like he'd have any time to spend with you there anyway.

Christmas came closer and yet you ignored it the best you could. Then came the day almost everyone was waiting for, Christmas. That morning, you awoke and got dressed and ate breakfast per usual.

Afterwards, you settled into your couch with a book and a mug of hot cocoa. The only good thing about Christmas, you thought, is that I got the day off

A knock startled you, bringing you back from the fantasy world you'd been immersed in. You sighed, as you got up and glanced at the clock. Only ten O'clock.

As you opened the door, you prayed. Please don't let it be carolers. Please don't let it be carolers. What you saw though surprised you.

"Tony?"

"Hey (y/n). I was sorry to hear you couldn't make it too the party last night. It was a blast." He said.

"Yeah, those parties aren't really my thing. What're you doing here? Don't you have other places to be?"

"Those can wait. I thought you could use some holiday cheer." He held up a neatly wrapped box with a (f/c) ribbon. "I remembered you saying that you didn't care about Christmas, so I'm here to fix that."

"That's nice but I don't know how you can fix it."

"If you let me in I can show you." He smirked holding up the gift. You raised an eyebrow questioningly and showed him in to your living room.

"Sorry about the mess, I wasn't expecting visitors." You said as you straightened the couch pillows and took your mug into the kitchen. When you came back, he was sitting on your couch holding the present towards you.

"Open it, open it. I think you'll like it."

You grabbed it and carefully pulled the ribbon off. As the wrapping came off you rolled your eyes. Inside the outer box was another wrapped box.

"How many more of these will I have to open?" He just grinned in response. There was only one more layer after than which revealed a couple things. The first thing you noticed was a $100 gift card to your favorite store. The rest of the box held a box set collection of all the classic children's Christmas movies, Everything from Frosty the Snowman to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

"Thanks, Tony."

"Now I must stay and torture you with them. I recommend we start with Rudolph and make our way down the list." He got up and started messing with your tv and dvd player until he got the disk in and the cheerful music drifted through your house.

~oOo~

By the end of the day, the two of you had managed to watch every last movie in the set and it was time for Tony to go. You walked him to the doorway and smiled.

"I'll admit, that was fun. I can't believe I've never seen a lot of those before."

"There is one last piece of Christmas business that we have to take care of though." He reached into his pocket and held something above your head. "See that mistletoe? There's a law that on Christmas, two people standing under mistletoe have to kiss." He grinned at you and you froze as your face turned a deep shade of red.

He leaned forward, taking you in his free arm, and placed his lips gently against yours. He quickly deepened the kiss and you could feel yourself melting into his embrace. He pulled way, making you long for more.

"Wha-, why?" you managed to say. He just laughed and shook the mistletoe like a bell.

"It's the law. I couldn't help it." A buzzing began from his pocket and he sighed. "Sorry, I have to get this. I'll see you later, (y/n)" Tony said as he walked out the door and answered his phone.

You couldn't help but stare after him. Maybe Christmas isn't that bad after all.
