I woke up to see the sun through my window. I got up out of bed and slipped Cato's ring on my finger. I put on some black pants and a blue shirt. I put my hair in two small braids that I tucked into my ponytail. It was the same hairstyle that I had worn into the Training Center. I walked into the bathroom, and the silver necklace that Cato had given me was sitting on the counter.

I put it around my neck and clasped the chain together. I looked at myself for a while. Cato looked back. I rubbed my eyes. He was gone. I walked out of the bathroom and laced up my black ankle boots. I then walked myself to Enobaria's house to watch the announcement. I went inside and sat on the couch.

"I'm here," I called. No answer. I walked into her bedroom. She was still asleep.

"Wake up. The Quarter Quell Announcement is in an hour." I said. She didn't stir. I shook her. Hard. She fell out of the bed. Her eyes popped open.

"I'm awake! I'm awake!" she exclaimed. I walked back out and sat on the couch. I turned on the TV and waited for the report to begin. Enobaria walked in a few seconds later. She sat next to me. The screen changed and it went to a live cam of Snow.

"Welcome! Now, for the envelopes." A little boy in white walked up to the stage and handed him the box of envelopes. He opened it, plucked one out, and handed the box back to the boy. The boy waled off camera as President Snow opened the envelope.

"On the seventy-fifth anniversary, as a reminder to the rebels that even the strongest of them cannot overcome the power of the Capitol, the male and female tributes will be reaped from their existing pool of victors."

Enobaria's mouth dropped open. I could have sworn that I saw President Snow wink.  I suddenly smiled without thinking. I started to head toward the door.

"Where are you going?" Enobaria asked with concern.

"Tomorrow is Reaping Day," I said.

"And?" she asked.

"I have to train." I replied.

"Wait, you aren't going to volunteer, are you?" she asked.

"Of course I am. This is my chance. Our chance. Katniss will finally pay for what she did to him." I said. I began to walk back to my house.

I saw a lot of the victors through the windows. They all looked stressed. I was the only one who was happy. I ran into my weapons room.I grabbed a trident, and threw it. It hit the target.

"We can do it. We can win this." I said to myself. "Together, or not at all."
