To the Land of Tea!

Sorry for not uploading sooner! I had to update my other story, 'I must be dreaming'. Ever since I put it on hold, its gotten less populaur D:

Naruko's POV

 

We were currently just dispatched on a mission to the Land of Tea, without Kakashi sensei. Now thats new.

"A tea house!" Naruto yelled, upon sighting of the small shop. I sighed as he bolted off towards it.

We sat down inside, me sitting next to Sasuke, Sakura sitting next to Naruto. I saw the pinkette continuously giving me the evil eye.

"What would you like?" the lady asked. "Sweet bean soup!" Naruto said. "Dumplings, please" Sakura and I said simultainiously. We shot eachother the 'look'.

"I'll just have the rice" Sasuke said. I sighed. "I just hope we get some fighting in!" Naruto said excitedly. "Don't you dare go making trouble again!" Sakura scolded. And for once, I agreed with the pinkette.

Then some random guy stopped at our table. "Just sittin' around in the shade andeating some bean soup? A ninjas life is pretty cushy" he commented.

I scowled at him. "Aw sweetheart, don't make that face at me" the stranger remarked. My scowl deepened. "What'd you say?!" Naruto growled.

"Guess you don't get much action in the Leaf Village. Judging by how out of shape you look. Besides the sweetheart" he winked at me, and I growled.

Naruto yelled at the guy, but he ignored my brother. He leaned down on the table, looking at me with a confident smirk. "I'm Idate Morino. What do they call you?" he said. "Naruko Uzumaki" I sighed, not caring anymore.

Sasuke and Naruto looked rather pissed, though. "Beautiful name" he winked. "If you keep hitting on her then I'l start hitting on you!" the blonde yelled. I couldn't help but laugh at how awkward that sounded.

"Calm down Naruto" I sighed. "She's right. Just ignore the punk, we don't have time." Sasuke agreed.

I narrowed my eyes. "Wait a minute... What was your name again?" I asked. "Idate Morino..." Idate said, seeming to think I liked him. My eyes widened.

"Morino..." I said. "Morino... Morino.. MORINO?!" I started softly, but ended up screaming. I leapt up from my seat. "Are you related to Ibiki Morino?" I hissed.

He nodded mutely. I growled. My team stared at me, confused by my outburst. "Ibiki Morino... That BASTARD!" I screeched. Idate raised an eyebrow. "What'd my brother do to you?" he scoffed.

I rolled up my sleeves, showing burns and scars. "That. THAT is what he did. He fucking tortured me till I was soaked in my own blood and half dead. And for what? Just to get some info on me, when he just as easily could have PEACEFULLY asked me questions"

"But NOOO, he just had to bring out the knives and flames, didnt he?! And what was I supposed to tell him? I wasn't hiding ANYTHING!" I yelled. By this point, tears were pricking my eyes. My team and Idate stared at me, eyes wide.

I sat down, taking deep breaths. Then in an instant, Idate was gone. I knew it was no jutsu... He had ran. "Damn, he's fast" I muttered.

"Lets pay and go." I said. So we paid for ourbill, and sadly, Idate's too. We all grabbed our backpacks, and ran off.

"I don't know this kids training, but he's fast" Sasuke said. "Who could he be?" Sakura asked dumbly. "Who cares! He's toast!" Naruto said.

And we jumped into the trees. Then, we saw him standing on the ground. "Serves you right" Naruto said.

"You got a lot of nerve." Sasuke added. Suddenly, he yelled "I'm sorry!!!" and fell to his knees. "What?" I narrowed my eyes.

"I couldn't pay the bill... All my money.. It was stolen... I didnt know what else to do..." he confessed. We all jumped down at his sides.

Then something fell next to his head. Naruto reached for it, but Idate snatched it away, did a backflip, and stood infront of us.

Randomly, he took off his legwarmers. "Get ready guys... He's asking for a race" I smirked.

Right as he dropped them, I bolted forwards. "C'mon guys!" I yelled.

"Stop, Naruko!" I heard Sakura yell, right as I was about to catch up to him. I stopped, and panted, jumping up to my team. "He's... fast...." I panted between breaths.

Timeskip

 

We had just arrived at our destination. To be honest, it looked like I was watching and listening, but I was sleeping.

I'm a MASTER at sleeping with your eyes open. I tended to do that alot in my childhood.

I woke up when the old guy clapped. A door opened, and someone kneeled there. "Yes, Boss?" a farmliar voice asked.

The boy looked up, and we gaped at eachother. "You!" we exclaimed. "This.... Makes things alot harder" I muttered.
