Naruko's POV

 

I woke up, in Duckbutts house, like usual. I lived with him, after all. I had to face the truth, I liked it here. But it was way better when the Uchiha was actually in the house. Instead, he's in the hospital...

I got up, got dressed, and sauntered out the door. I ran through the alley, bumping into Naruto. "Oh hey!" I grinned. "Hey Naruko!" he grinned back. We ran side by side, and both bumped into Lee.

"Hey, Bushy Brow! How you doin?" Naruto asked. I knocked him on the head. "Naruto!! His names Lee!" I scolded. Naruto laughed nervously, and Lee smiled happily.

"How'd the treatment with the old lady go?" I asked curiously. Lee looked down. Then Moegi and Udon ran up. "Naruto! Naruko! It's Konohamaru! He's blockaded himself!" Moegi said.

I sighed. "Naruto, you go on with them. I'll stay with Lee" I smiled. Naruto nodded, and they ran off to get Konohamaru. I looked at Lee.

"Naruto is really oblivious sometimes..." I sighed. "Sorry about him" I said. "It is fine, Naruko. I am atleast glad that you and Naruto can still continue with your own ninja training" Lee said sadly. "Do you mean... That Grandma Tsunade..." I trailed off.

Lee nodded. "She has told me to not continue my ninja life. She says it will interfere with my regular life and possibly kill me." he sighed. I noticed how Lee never used abbreviations, he only said 'I am' or 'it is'.

I nodded sadly. "I'm so sorry, Lee" I frowned. Lee was like my best bud, besides Naruto. Actually, prettymuch everyone besides Sakura and Ino were my best buds.

"It is fine. I am glad that you care" Lee said, still sounding glum. We were both standing on the bridge, staring at the water. Lee seemed deep in thought, a frown still plastered on his face.

We heard footsteps, and looked up. "Lee! There you are!" Sakura said, holding a boquette of flowers. I was starting to like Sakura better, since she was getting nicer. But I still didn't like Ino very much.

"Oh, Sakura!" he said, looking up. Sakura handed him the flowers. "These are for you" she said gently. "For me? Really?" Lee asked happily. I grinned, glad to see him in a better mood than he was before.

"Oh hi, Naruko!" Sakura said, smiling at me. I smiled back, glad she was hear to help cheer up Lee too.

As Lee reached to get the flowers, he tripped. I giggled as he fell into Sakura's arms, and she helped him up. "Sorry about that, Sakura" he apologized.

"No sweat. Did you hear? Sasuke's home now! He's recovering nicely..." Sakura said. I perked up. "I am glad to hear that" Lee answered. "Tsunade is everything they say she is.. You should have her look at you! I'm sure she could speed up your recovery" Sakura said.

I frowned. Lee held back the sadness and he nodded, still smiling. "I'm gonna go, guys!" I said, waving them off. They nodded, and I walked off back to my home. Well, Sasuke's home. Which was now also my home.
