Lydia thought it was preposterous. The preposterous thing was that Stiles hasn't shut up for the 17 minutes that they have been in the car.
His voice elegant and soothing like relaxing in a sauna; she would do anything to hear his voice. But now?
Now she would love to cut his voice box out.
"WANT YOU TO MAKE ME FEEL, LIKE IM THE ONLY GIRL IN THE WORLD!" Stiles sang from the passengers seat. Fingers drummed against the dashboard and his head bobbed up and down violently.
"Who knew your admiration for Rihanna was impeccable." Lydia laughed.
"I think I convey it pretty well." Stiles shrugged, going back to god knows whatever he was doing. It reminded Lydia of a seizure.
Boxes crowded in the boot and the backseat of Lydia's car. Ratting from god knows what was driving her insane.
"Stiles, did you bring your whole room?" Lydia laughed, glancing in the rear view mirror, blind sighted that Stiles' eyes was already on her.
"That, my beautiful girlfriend; is a whole amount of misinterpretation. I only brought stuff I absolutely need." Stiles said, putting his hand on the back of Lydia's neck. Giving it a small squeeze and a cute rub. It stayed there, lingered as his body heat fused Lydia to the point of vulnerability just by driving.
Lydia glanced in the rear view mirror at some of the boxes perched on the back seat.
"Your old lacrosse trophy?" Lydia smiled, raising an eyebrow. Wittyness held over her voice like a heated blanket. "Really?"
"Hey. What if they have a lacrosse team. I'll wanna join. I need something to show off my asset, right!" Stiles laughed, itching his nose in the process.
'What asset.' Lydia thought.
"I love you." Lydia smiled. Stiles hand rubbed at the back of her neck once more, before leaning over to place a small yet fair kiss on her cheek.
"I love you more."
Lydia's head whipped round as she stared at him as long as she could, occasionally glancing from him to the road.
"No." Lydia announced. "Nope. Nuh - uh. You do not get to play the more card, okay hunny?"
"Please, Lyds." Styles laughed sarcastically. "I'm pretty sure I can pull the I love you more card anytime."
His challenging was amusing, although quite frankly factual as for two reasons.
> 3rd grade. Enough said.
> Loving her through all the bat-shit craziness.
"Fine. I'll give you that one." Lydia winked, forcing her eyes onto the road instead of her insanely hot boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Boyfriend.
Yeah, Lydia could get used to that.
They were merely ten minutes away from his college. Studying FBI? Damn. She was goddamn fucking proud.
"Anyway, this weekend were all meeting back at Beacon Hills to go out and just be with each other." Lydia smiled.
"What! Who arranged that?" Stiles said in disbelief. This was a surprise to him.
"Me." Lydia said, mentally patting her self on the back. "I know you were really anxious about the pack being torn apart. I just don't want that to happen for you. For us."
"Holy fuck I'm in love with you." Stiles smiled. Eyes wide in excitement and a smile filled with love. Lydia shrugged her shoulders.
"What can I say." She replied nonchalantly.

They arrived at the large campus. Lydia looked around. Butch men getting out their cars, shoving boxes and getting out their cars. Some in uniform. She could imagine Stiles in that uniform, and it was glorious.
Stiles lugged the boxes out and 10 minutes later the boxes were in his dorm. Of course, he had his own. He didn't like sharing with strangers. Yeah, Stiles loves meeting new people but when it comes to living with people, the only accepting options are John, Scott and Lydia.
(a/n: I know the sheriff's name is Noah. But I've went far too long thinking it was John and I refuse to change it. Thanks.)
Lydia made his bed till there was no creases, as his pillows were fluffed perfectly.
Lydia noticed something, she twitches her eyebrow and smiled in amusement.
"Stiles?" Lydia asked.
"Hmm?" Stiles responded. Tongue placed between his lips as he lined his Star Wars DVD's set up perfectly along the shelf.
"Is this my shirt?" Lydia smirked. She held it up, hooked to her pointer finger.
"Yeah." Stiles said, like it was nothing. Lydia was flustered, it was the cutest fucking thing ever.
"Wh-why did you pack this shirt?" Lydia asked, staring at the worn fabric.
This was Lydia's favourite shirt she'd always sleep in. It was baggy and a plain white tee, little holes lined the shoulder; emphasising how much she actually wore the ragged mess.
When her and Stiles started dating after the wild hunt, she decided to leave it at Stiles' for when she would sleep. So he brought it with him.
"I mean, I wanna smell you and stuff - god that sounded creepy um, I just wanted to be reminded of you. I'm really gonna miss you, Lydia. It's kind of like a comfort blanket." Stiles said, turning away from his valuable collectibles and stood in front of her small figure. He held onto her arms as their bodies pressed together.
"Did I ever tell you how cute you are." Lydia said, scrunching up her nose and rubbing it on his chest.
Cliche, I know.
Ever since he got back these little bits of fluff is perfectly natural. It's like every single atom in their bodies just crave one another. Like a smoker who hasn't had a cigarette in an hour. Like an alcoholic who has a bottle of Jack Daniels in front of them, and has to resist the temptation.
Though, they do not resist.
"What can I say." Stiles repeated, mocking Lydia from their earlier banter in the car.
Lydia looked around, all of the boxes were unpacked and a wave of sadness flew through her.
"Stiles, I gotta go." Lydia sighed looking down.
Stiles then trailed the sigh. "Yeah, I know."
They walked outside in complete silence. That comfortable silence that made them feel like home. When your sat down with the family and you don't need any form of communication to make everything ok.
They stopped outside Lydia's car. Stiles held her face as he kissed her. His heart fought towards his chest as his eyelids became heavy. Savouring every moment that he can, he closed his eyes slowly.
Lydia smiled within the kiss. Admiring the movement of his lips and what he tastes like.
"Your gonna do amazing." Lydia said, staring admirably. "I'm so proud of you."
"You're the one starting MIT as a junior. That's insane. I'm so proud of you too." Stiles smiled, tucking hair behind her ear.
Lydia let go of a little tear that was quickly wiped away by Stiles.
"Lydia - I."
"It's fine." Lydia cut him off. "We're only 6 hours away. I'm seeing you in 6 days. I'm being silly."
"I love you." Stiles said, letting go of her hand as she walked towards her car. She opened the door and stood there for a minute, cooperating how happy she was; finally.
"I love you, more." Lydia winked. Stiles laughed as he looked down and shook his head.
"I'll give you that one."
