Maybe I should go back. I thought. I was crazy to leave in the first place. But the problem was, I had no idea where I was. This place was so crowded, and full of different colours everywhere. People were rushing past, yelling things in a language I didn't understand. I couldn't even tell which direction I had come from. A dark skinned man popped up in front of me. "Meeka! Meeka ma parley!" He yelled at me, while waving some form of meat in front of my face. "No...I don't want it. No want." I said. He shook his head and wandered off. As if the amount of colours wasn't bad enough, so many emotions were swirling around, it was hard to pinpoint an exact one and it was making me dizzy. I needed to sit down. Looking around at the crowded, dusty street filled with boxes, fruit, animals and things is never seen before, I didn't think I'd find a place to sit. Well, unless that place was on top of a watermelon and I didn't think the frowny woman over there would let me. I walked on, pushing past the people already pushing.

You know that feeling you get when someone is watching you? That prickling chill down your neck? I was getting that now. I stopped and turned around. There, standing beside the watermelon (well, one of a thousand), was a Feyarie. His orange eyes pierced into me. Once he knew I'd seem him, he moved forward, his blonde hair not moving a bit, like plastic. Well, one thing to say was that I panicked. I ran through the colourful wave of people, ducking and side stepping until the crowd finally thinned out. I could see the area I was in now. It was a town, mostly made of stone. The street was cobblestone and chilly on my feet. I walked on and the street opened up into a circle. In the middle of the circle was a wooden stage, that was easily over two meters. It had two large lights, that were shapes like cones and one of them hung a little too low. It wasn't working as well as the other. I heard footsteps. Nonononono. It was probably the Feyarie I saw earlier.

Why was he following me? Had Amaya sent out scouts to find me? I couldn't go back. I would never have any freedom again. No one would ever let me out of their sight. I was ranting. In my own head. At least no one could hear me, I thought as I ducked in between two houses. "I wouldn't be so sure about that." A voice spoke from behind me. I spun around in shock. It was a girl. She had black hair, tanned skin, dark clothes, like the kind you'd imagine on a spy, and a pretty face.

Everything about her was striking. She was really, really pretty. But her eyes were the best. They were black with flecks of bright green in them. "You can read my mind?" I asked. She looked me up and down. Then she looked me in the face and rolled her eyes. "Not me, Fairy Girl. Bucket over there can." She gestured to a tall boy. I took in a sharp breath. He had an awesome tan, shiny black hair and bright, bright, icy blue eyes. If I wasn't immune to the cold, I bet I would have been freezing right now. "You can mind read?" I whispered. He stared at me. "No. Cassity was being sarcastic. She's the mind reader, not me." "Oh." I was glad it was dark, because I was blushing really bad. The girl- Cassity rolled her eyes again. "Let's get down to business. You, Fairy Girl, are a half breed." I stared at her. I knew that already! Cassity gave me a look. Right. Mindreader. "Knew that already? Good. So now there will be no reason for you to break down and cry. Wanna know something? Bet you didn't know this. Jason, you can tell her." I got the feeling she didn't like me. Jason nodded. "We're half breeds too." He said seriously. I stared at them. If this was Amaya's way of getting back at me because I ran away, it wasn't funny. It made me want to cry. I wish that once in my life I could get angry, instead of getting upset. "I don't understand-" I started. Cassity interrupted. "You, me and Jason are half breeds. There are more of us. It is our job to find half breeds, and save them from the rejection of their worlds. Understand that?" I nodded numbly. There was more like me? That was great!

Jason, who I found out that his nickname is Bucket, and Cassity, took me to run down cafe. Jason placed his hand on the door. Then with the other he took Cassity's hand. Then he told me to take Cassity's other hand so we were all joined. "We, the found, have located those who are lost. Let us pass, so that we may let them be found." Right. That was a formal way to talk to a doo- Whoosh. Suddenly we weren't at the front of a run down cafe. We were in a city. All around us were metal plates, like the one we were now standing on. But they were empty. We were the only ones here. I let go of Cassity's hand and stepped off the plate. I guess this was a traveling room or something. Walk up to a cafe door, say hi, and suddenly you were standing on a metal plate. I looked over at Jason and Cassity. They were talking. And were still holing hands. I don't know why, but I really didn't like the sight of them holding hands like that. Then they let go and walked over to me. "So." Jason said. "What do you think?" I looked at the city. It was beautiful. The buildings were mostly sandstone, but there were also buildings made of brick, and in some cases, glass. The buildings were very fancy, better than anything back at Myeu. "It's great, isn't it? We have bakeries over to left and further down. There is also a massive library, you can find anything you want. The training center is awesome. You really need to check out the pool. There is a really long waterside and a five meter high diving board. For those who have water powers, there is really high diving boards, things like one hundred meter drops and so on." It was completely different to Fey, because Fey was made of trees and nature. But it was equally just as beautiful. I was about to reply, when I saw Cassity's face. She didn't like Jason talking to me so much. She wanted someone else to give me the tour of the city. There was only one thing to say then, and since Jason seemed really proud of his city, I was sure he'd take it the way I wanted him to.

"It's OK..." I said, making it sound like I was reluctant. "But I'm part Fey and in Fey the houses are made of actual living trees and bushes. And they're really pretty." Jason stared at me. "You're joking right? This city is amazing! I'll make sure that you change your mind. I'll give you a tour. You're the first person that has not instantly fallen in love with the wonders of the city. Well, except for Marcus but..." Jason trailed off his excited chatter and took a glance at Cassity. They seemed to be having a mental talk, which, since Cassity was a Mindreader, they probably were. I got curious. "Who's Marcus?" I asked. Cassity looked at me. "We found Marcus, us two and several others, and then he lead us here. He'd read books, lots of them. So he knew how to get here. He just needed help to get here. So we helped. When we got here we polished up the city, not that there was much to do. Other half breeds had used this, many, many years ago. But they died out. Starved, probably. But it wasn't like how Marcus had dreamed. He was disappointed. He hated it. Then one day Marcus left. He didn't come back." This story interested me. I needed to know more. I turned away from them, hoping they wouldn't see the look on my face. When I got everything under control, I turned back around. "So. This library. I would like to see it if that's not too much trouble." I could see Cassity didn't want to go there. Why did she hate me so much? "It's just, I haven't ever seen a library before. There was one at Myeu, but I never went in." Hopefully Jason bought my pathetic sob story. He did. "Well then, we just can't have that can we Cass? To the library!"
