"Take a deep breath. Try to relax." Pollo said soothingly. Even if he didn't have the power of Control, I still would have felt relaxed, just from listening to his voice. I took a deep breath. "You are calm now, yes?" He asked. I nodded, my eyes closed. "Good. Now envision an orb of power shrinking and expanding, getting bigger and smaller, wriggling, in a colour that shall become obvious to you soon, on your stomach." I scrunched my eyes, and did what he said. A bright, bright purple orb seemed to be summoned from my gut. It pulsed, wriggling this way and that.

"Is it there?" Pollo asked calmly. I nodded again. "Now, I am going to get you to open your eyes, slowly, and focus on the chair in the room. All your attention must be centered onto the chair." As I started to open my eyes, the orb flashed and almost disappeared completely. I shut my eyes immediately and the orb kept pulsing. Deep breath. I opened my eyes, very, very slowly and focused on the wooden chair in the room. I could see every scratch, every line in that chair. I felt truly alive. It was amazing. I could also smell the wood, it smelt faintly of trees. "Your power orb heightens your senses. From your orb, you can also draw on power from your mind. Draw in your orb carefully, so it does not exhaust you, and channel your power at the chair." Pollo called from the side of the room. He'd moved, probably to stay out of range of whatever my power was. I imagined that my orb was the water in a tap. I turned the tap slowly, and let some of the bright purple pool into hands. Then I blew onto my hands. For a second, the purple swirled towards the chair. Then suddenly the line of purple snapped and disappeared, leaving me dazed and confused. I tried to summon the orb on my stomach again, but nothing happened. I tried again and again and again and again but nothing happened. As I kept on trying to summon my power orb,the window burst open and wind swished around the room, pulling at my hair and clothes. But still I kept trying. I would make that stupid chair disintegrate into nothing! The wind roared an lightning flashed outside, striking very close to the window. Jason burst through the door. "What's going on?!" he yelled. Then he looked at me. I turned my attention to him. How dare he distract me! He would pay.

The wind picked him up and flung him across the room to where he collided with a wall and crashed to the floor. He didn't get up. Something pulled on my arm. It was Pollo. He had a bleeding cut on his left cheek. He looked me in the eyes. "Syrus! Stop, now!" Instantly the wind Nd lightning stopped. I was exhausted. My head got fuzzing, my vision darting in and out of focus. My legs wobbled and I started to fall. A pair of arms rushed up to meet me and I completely blacked out.

Man. What just happened? I sat up on the bed I was laying on. Cassity was sitting on a chair to my right. She was asleep. Jason was on a chair to my left. He looked pretty crap, like he'd just gotten into a fight. His face had a couple of bruises and there was a cast on left arm. Jason burst through the door. "What's going on?!" he yelled. Then he looked at me. I turned my attention to him. How dare he distract me! He would pay.

The wind picked him up and flung him across the room to where he collided with a wall and crashed to the floor. He didn't get up.

Oh. My. God. Was all that me? I had almost killed Jason! He looked up at me. There was no emotion in those icy blue eyes. My heart broke. He'd hate me now, of course he would. I started to cry and he looked at me, panicked. "Are you OK? Do you need a healer?" He asked worriedly. No, I tried to say. I'm fine. But what happened in that room? Why do I always cry so much? But I didn't make a sound. I opened and shut my mouth. No sound came out. Now I panicked. Why couldn't I talk? What happened to my voice? "Syrus, do you need a healer?" Jason asked again. I couldn't answer. He got up and shook Cassity. "Cass! Cass! Wake up!" He said urgently. Cass opened her eyes. "Wha-Syrus you're awake!" She yelled and jumped up, knocking over Jason. He fell onto the end of the bed near my feet. Jason stood up and walked over to the side of Cassity, who was practically leaning in my face. "Are you OK?" She asked quickly. I opened my mouth again. No sound, so I just stared at her. She looked confusedly at Jason. "What's wrong with her?" She asked him. He looked at me. "Pollo was trying to find out what her power was and it all went wrong. The room got all dark-" Wait. I don't remember that part. "And wind was gushing everywhere. Everything in that room besides Pollo and I shattered. We don't know if it was her or what. Pollo did some detective work and he's got some idea...He was going to tell me sometime soon. I'll tell you when I find out, if I can."
