I blinked a few times to process what the heck was happening. I could see the party behind him, blasting loud music with people that filled the front yard. I wondered a lot of things and it felt like everything was happening all over again. I was moving on, why couldn't he?

"Is this some kind of joke?" I asked, wondering what kind of game he was playing at.

"Excuse me?" He asked, "I ran out of fridge space and I was wondering if you would let me put these in yours."

I held onto the door, wondering if I should slam it in his face or not. "Jace, what are you playing at?"

He looked at me like he had never known me. "I need fridge space, that's it," he told me, "I know I barely know you but, I'm pretty sure we go to the same school. What's your name again?"

I sighed heavily and closed my eyes for a second before reopening them again. "You know my name. I'm not playing your stupid games!" I yelled and tried to close the door in his face.

He slipped through the door as it slammed shut. "Thanks." He smiled and strolled into my house like he owned it. He walked into the kitchen where the fridge was. "Nice place." And there it was. We were back to the day he came to my front door asking for fridge space, trying to talk to me for the bet.

"Jace, please leave." I didn't want to play that game with him. I was already playing it by myself, pretending like none of it ever happened. I guess he had the same idea and it annoyed me. "You can't use my fridge. You're going to purposely leave it in there so I have to return it to your house and then you'll pretend that it never happened."

He laughed, opening my fridge and placing the beers inside. "What, are you psychic or something? That's pretty crazy."

I groaned and stormed over to the fridge as he closed the door. I reopened it and took the beers out, feeling the heaviness of them. I shoved them in front of him, my eyes burning with rage. "Just take them and leave!"

He place his hands up in surrender, not taking the beers from me. "Geez, I was just asking for fridge space."

"You have plenty of fridge space!" I yelled, dropping the beers onto the bench because they were weighing me down. "You're just doing this because you think it'll work."

He looked at me like I was crazy. "Hey, I've never spoken to you before. You don't know me, I just need a place to cool those beers down."

I wanted to pull my hair out. I hated how he was acting like none of it happened. Although, I was doing the same. "Jace-"

He smiled at me and I could tell he was enjoying this. "Thanks," he walked out of the kitchen and towards the front door, "I'll pick them up later."

I rolled my eyes because he was using the same lines he used the last time. He strolled to the door, opened it and walked out. I knew what was happening. Sitting next to me on the bus, coming up on my doorstep and pretending to want fridge space when he clearly didn't need it. This was part of his big plan to get me back and I knew it. How was I ever going to move on from him if he kept coming in and out of my life? I was so screwed. I thought back to what was next. I went over to his place the next morning to drop off the beers and he would pretend that he never did come to my house the previous night.

I remembered feeling so nervous. I shook the thought away and texted Gwen to come over quickly because I needed her advice. She didn't reply, but she opened my door and walked in. She wasn't drunk or stumbling so I was grateful for that.

"What is it?" She asked, yawning and taking a seat on my couch.

She wrapped the blanket around herself as I sat down next to her. "Jace came over with beers."
