Chapter 27 : How my dad died

'It was a cold , rainy day . Me , my mum and dad were coming back from a good day out in London . It was my first time exploring the city , I was six years old . I was at the back in my booster , trying to count the raindrops constantly falling down. Mum and Dad were at the front yelling at each other , arguing about something . I didn't understand what it was , but it had something to do about moving and money. Dad's voice grew louder and louder by the minute and so did mums . I tried putting my hands over my ears to block the sound of them arguing , but it wouldn't work , I could still hear them.

As the rain got harder , their voices got louder . Dad wasn't looking where he was going and the car felt like it was getting out of control !!! The car swayed around everywhere and I screamed as it did . It felt as if we were falling down a big hill and hit the ground . As soon as the car fell upside down , so did I .

I found myself the next day in a hospital bed , with a nurse and doctor looking checking me up. There were needles stuck in my arms and pipes flown around me . I had a oxygen mask on and was completely confused and scared . I then realised the my parents weren't here ! I tried screaming but the oxygen mask kept me from screaming , I flung my body around , howling for my mum and dad . The nurse tried to calm me down , but it was no use , I wouldn't stop moaning and groaning . The doctor stabbed another injection inside of me which made me drift away to sleep again .

I was in hospital for a week , however I still didn't see my mum or dad . The nurse told me that I will get to see them soon , that they were just doing something . The nurse was called Elsa and she was super nice . She looked very young and entertained me while I was in the hospital . She fed me and gave me baths and made show I was in the right condition . We played a lot of games together in the play area of the hospital .

That day I was in my hospital room , playing a doll game with Elsa , when there was a knock at the door . Elsa went to open it. When she opened it I saw a doctor and my MUM waiting outside the door . I was so glad to see my mum that I jumped off my hospital bed and ran to give her a big hug . Mum didn't hug back , she looked pale and miserable . She didn't move , she looked like a statue.

"Where's daddy?" When I asked that mum faced to look at me , a tear fluttering down her cheeks .

"Daddy's dead."

For a six year old I didn't know how to take it . The whole night I would not stop crying! Elsa tried to calm me down but it did not work . I felt like my childhood was ruined , my life . That I lost my own father , who was not a bad person , so why did he have to go ?! He did nothing wrong to deserve this , he was a innocent man , who wanted to raise a family . He died in the car crush , me and my mum got a second chance but my dad ... I lost my dad , forever ! '
