Chapter 28

"Ally are you up in your room ? " called mum from downstairs.

"Yes I'm here!" I called back, getting cosy in my bed.

It has been 5 days and I still haven't spoke to Drake. He hasn't been answering his text messages or answering my calls. I don't know if this is a fight or if my relationship with Drake really over ?!

Mum came in my room with a thin , pink coloured box in her hand. It had my name Engraved in gold italic letters. She sat on my bad and placed the box on my lap. I stared at it for a second , looking at the box right in front of me. I picked it up and opened it gently to find a gold , necklace with a heart shaped locket. I opened the locket and i stopped to see a picture of my mum and dad on one side and another picture of me and my dad on the other side. I looked down at the locket, a tear dripped down my cheek as I looked at the beautiful locket.

"Your dad made this just for you and he said he will give it to you when you got older." Mum tried to hold back the tears however she started crying herself .

"How did you get this?" I asked , holding mums hand.

"It was in the house of course but it was hidden for many years. Your dad hid it in a very special place. One day i was just rummaging through my stuff when i found the box and the locket. I thought your birthday would be the perfect time to give it !" Mum gave me a hug , a hug that I havent gotten for ages. It was a mother - daughter moment that i wished could last forever.

"You do know just how much your dad loved us. Things just happened too quickly." Mum stroked my cheek, gazing right at me, with her hazal eyes.

"I know. Mum , i ... I know i shouldnt be asking this but ... What were you and dad fighting about in the car that day of our crash?"

Mum looked down , biting her lip and fiddling with the bedsheet. She obviously didnt know how to explain since it was such a tragic moment.

"We... we were fighting about this women. One time your dads phone was lying around on the counter. I was in the kitchen cooking when he recieved a text. I saw the text and it was from a women called Alexa. She was saying how much fun she had last night with him and if he wanted to come over to her house again. I was really confused because your dad said that he was working late last night. I texted Alexa pretending to be your dad and asked her what she wanted to do tonight and she said how about some more kissing. I was absolutely taken aback when i saw the reply , that i ended up smashing your dads phone on the floor. Throughout the days our fights got bigger and bigger untill everything was too late."

My mouth was wide open , I could not believe what i was hearing. My dad cheated on my own mum!? That cant be possible ! Mum told me her and Dad grew up together , that they were PRACTICALLY soul mates ! How could dad even think about falling for another women? Mum was perfect in so many ways , anyone would of want the oppurtunity to marry Mum.

"Dont worry Ally. Your father wasnt a bad person. He was my true love , the love of my life. He still is and i would never forget such an amazing guy. And one day , you will also find that amazing guy!"

Mum smiled at me and gave me a warm gentle kiss on the forehead.

Mum got up from my bed and tucked me in. I felt like a child again, but i didnt care, I missed being a child , everything was so much easier!

"Goodnight Mum!" I said.

"Goodnight Sweetie." Mum turned off my light leaving my room pitch black. I shut my eyes and dreamed throughout the night.
