A/N : yeah I'm stopping it with the fire puns in the titles now wh oop s

Tom woke up in his room instead of the couch the next morning. Edd is pretty strong, surprisingly, so it's possible that the smaller male carried him over to his room. Tom turned red at the thought. He should be carrying Edd places, not the other way around. He removed the blankets off of him, stretching as he dangled his feet over the edge of the bed, getting out of it.

Downstairs, Edd started to microwave the bacon from yesterday's breakfast. He was still a bit shaken by Tord's text last night. Mostly because, A, every time he called that number, it never existed, and B, it still had Tord's name.

Nevertheless, it freaked him out, and he still has not replied. What if he was coming over, even if I didn't reply? he kept thinking.

It probably would happen, in reality. Tord was kind of known for coming into places without a warning. It was always rude, but that was just the Norwegian's personality; a part that Edd hoped would've changed, but alas, to no avail.

Edd's thoughts were sharply interrupted by the microwave's beep, beep, beeping as it stopped. The male opened the microwave, letting out the smell of the delicious breakfast and got the plate out, placing it on the table. It was at that moment that Tom walked in, still woozyly tired from sleeping, taking a piece of bacon from the plate.

" Tooom! That was one of the last pieces! " Edd groaned, as he sat down before he remaining three pieces on the plate.

" What? You got six whole pieces of pig skin, Edd - not that big of a deal. " Tom shrugged off, getting out his 'Don't Mug Me' mug and some coffee beans.

Edd scoffed, taking a piece of bacon and eating it, turning to Tom, and while talking and eating, said, " And who buys most groceries - including the bacon? "

" I do. " Tom said bluntly, pouring the water and grounded beans in the coffee maker. " And sometimes Matt. You hardly ever do, Edd. "

The smaller male only blinked, trying to think of another comeback. He was only to be interrupted by Tom.

" Plus, I already finished eating the bacon, so that's an argument you won't even finish. "

Edd huffed, turning back around to his plate, chewing on the slivers of meat.

Tom rolled his black orbs of eyes, grabbing an apple as the coffee started to drip. " Still, worth a shot, huh? To move things on, are you feeling any better about the color red? "

'The color red' was just a code name for Tord so Edd wouldn't instantly feel any worse by his name.

" Hm? Oh, that? Yeah,,,, feeling a bit,,, better. " The smaller male hesitated to answer, as he remembered that text from last night.

" You sure? " Tom repeated.

Edd nodded softly, getting out his phone to check his Twitter. Ah, just the normal messages - 'can I be on your show??' , 'i luv u xDD', and the infamous spam notifications.

Beautiful.

At that exact moment out came a familiar ginger - Matt.

Tom was the first to notice him. " Oh, Matt, you're up - I'm making coffee, you want some? "

Matt, who was wearing a purple nightgown to match Edd's green one, brushed his bright orange, ginger hair with one hand and waved his other dismissively at Tom.

" I'll pass - I'll just have some cereal. " Matt claimed, looking carefully at his perfectly painted nails.

Tom only shrugged. " Alright, your loss. "

They both sat at the table, Matt still brushing his hair and Tom eating his apple before Edd inhaled and spoke up very quickly.

" Hey, I uh,,, think Tord texted me last night about coming over and-- "

Tom stood up, putting his hands in the air. " Oh my gosh Edd no! "

" I didn't text him! He texted me! "

" I thought you blocked the number?! "

" No I didn't! I thought I did, but hey - at LEAST we know he's alive. "

" Whooo, I'm so happy - that definitely wasn't bloody monotone and sarcastic! "

" Tom! Rude! "

Matt looked back and forth at the two as they bickered, only to sigh, that sounded more like a groan, and set his brush down and started to speak up.

" GUYS! "

Tom and Edd looked over at Matt, sort of surprised that he was still here.

" You two are more rowdy than Hamilton and Jefferson at the Cabinet meeting! " Matt started. " You both should calm down about this! "

" Calm down? " Tom glared. " Matt, you know I fucking hate that guy - do you really think I'd be happy to see him? "

It didn't usually happen, but a purple smoke started to emit from Tom's eyes. It used to happen quite a lot, but as of recent, it never occurred.

Matt raised his hands in defense. " Okay, okay, I see your point. But, c'mon - Edd has been trying to talk to this guy for who knows how long. "

Edd softly nodded, as if he was agreeing with Matt's statement.

" But that's my reason! If that prick made Edd's fucking heart break every time that automatic message came up about this number not being available and Tord ignoring him, then this ass doesn't need to be texting him now! "

Tom slammed at the table, making it shake as the brunette and ginger held onto it to steady the movement. The angered male then sat up, stomping out of the room. Matt didn't even try to get him, and only sighed and rubbed at his temples.

" Edd, what did the text say, anyway? " Matt asked.

Edd handed the phone to the ginger, as Matt opened the messages and read the text, as his eyes went wide.

" He wants to come over?! "
