It was the next morning. Edd grudgingly got out of bed, not bothering to fix his bed today. He made his way to his bedroom door hesitantly, as he felt stiff from sleeping the night before on that hard mattress. He held onto the painted wall carefully, steadily making his way and turning into the softly lit kitchen. As always, the scent smelled of the normal breakfast in the British household:

Toast, eggs, and bacon. Edd loved that last one.

And so did Tord.

Edd gave an exhale, groaning now that the Norwegian was now on his mind. He scooted the plate that was meant to be Matt's over to him, picking it up and getting all the bacon off the griddle. Sitting down at his seat, Edd chomped on his breakfast when he heard footsteps getting louder. Edd looked up and saw no one other than Tom, once more, as the light brown haired male went to the cabinet. Tom grabbed the cereal that stood at the top shelf, pouring it into a blue bowl along with the milk, got a spoon and sat in his seat opposite of the cartoonist.

" So, " started Tom, after half a minute of silence and eating, " you ready to go to the carnival? "

" Omnomnomnom. "

" Errm... is that a yeah? "

Edd swallowed his last piece of bacon, clearly speaking to Tom, " Yeah! When do you want to go? "

The eyeless male gave it some thought. " Well, we still need the tickets. How about we go after I finish eating and we both get some actual clothes on? " Tom indicated to Edd's solid green colored nightgown, and his own blue undershirt and checker boxers.

" Oh, " replied Edd, now feeling a bit sheepish, " yeah - yeah that would be a good idea. "
----

After changing into their standard clothing, Edd and Tom set out to the carnival to get their tickets and have some fun. The ride to that destination was running smoothly - aside from some still dead corpses wandering around from that zombie invasion not too long ago.

Otherwise, it was quite lovely.

The duo locked the car, running excitedly to the booth where they would get their tickets, tapping on the glass of the sleeping worker. The worker, a female (probably in her twenties) with bright, short orange hair, thick eyelashes connected to dull emerald eyes, and fair white skin jerked up from her slumber.

" Huh-?! Oh, business... " she groaned under her breath. She perked up, giving a wide, and obviously rehearsed, smile which revealed her small pointy teeth.

" Welcome to London's 11th Annual Carnival! Get prepared for exciting rides, fantastic food and drink, and friendly faces - all tied with times of fun, friends, and adventure that seem almost far-fetched. Would you like two tickets? "

Even after all that, her sudden ecstatic mood changed back to dull and bored half way through saying 'carnival'.

" Two tickets, please, yes. " answered Tom. The worker, who's name tag read "Jackie", rang up two tickets and 50 tokens each.

" Have a fantastic day in London's 11th Annual Carnival. " Jackie muttered, her cheek in her palm as Edd and Tom past by the booth.
----

" So, what do you want to do first? " asked Tom, scanning the map of the carnival. " We can play the small booth games, get something to eat, get on the roller-coaster, go to the arcade - it's your call, Edd. "

Edd put his index finger on his chin, tapping it as he thought. " Hmn... " he hummed. The male then snapped, surprising the other. " I know! We can go on the roller-coaster, then get something to eat, go to the arcade and carnival games, and get some candy floss and get on the Ferris Wheel as a finale. "

" You uh... really have a plan here, huh Edd? " stated Tom, scratching the back of his hood as he chuckled. The cartoonist gave a light shrug.

" Eh, more or less. "
---

Later, after the boys had their daily dose of adrenaline - and unneeded dose of Tom jumping on Edd when he was frightened -, they headed off to get something to eat, just as Edd has suggested.

" Pizza and hot dogs, here we come! " shouted Tom, his arms in the air. Edd chuckled.

" We don't know if they actually have them, yet, calm down. " The brown haired cartoonist smiled, putting his arms in his front hoodie pocket.

" Oh, come on, Edd - it's just law to have them! "

" Law? I wouldn't say law, but- "

Edd stopped in his sentence and his walk, his eyes fixated on something in the distance. Tom noticed his friend's pause, halting and walking back to him.

" Edd? " Tom uttered. " Edd? What are you looki- "

Tom, also stopped in his words. Following Edd's gaze through the huge crowd of happy people and music, Tom spotted a familiar figure.

A familiar figure in a red hoodie.
