Chapter One:Forbidden Love and Promises
Complete silence as we lay on my bed to injoy peace before my parents get home and he has to sneak out of the back door. I lie on his chest counting his heart beats along with the time we have left tonight. Minutes later I hear the loud engine of the family truck get closer to the house and then stop on the drive way. We slowly get up, kiss then say our good byes.
I always hated doing this.I always hated saying goodbye to him. Just hoping to talk to him the next day. As we kissed I tuged on his dirty blond hair with one hand and used tje other to hold on to his sholder for balance becuse I was on my tippy toes. He was like a giant compared to me.I then starred in his green and gray eyes as he starred into my big hazel eyes. Joe Stealer. Guys wanted to be him and girls wanted to be with him, who would think he wanted the black girl. Mary Jane Jackson.
Some people were so jealous that they told me it was because of my family's money or because he wanted to get with my best friend. She was always the better loking one. I'm not saying that I'm ugly,I'm just saying she has better looks. I was taught to always date inside my race. Therefore my family pretty much hates him. Ever since people lectured us on going out we've had to keep our relationship on the down low. So we don't talk at school or in public. We see each other when we can and try not to make it obvious that we even know each other.
"Mary jane?",he said as tears filled my eyes. He lifted my chin up and bint down a little so that we would be face to face
"you better know that your ever thing to me" when he said that I couldn't help but to let a tiny smile takeover my face.
"I know, I just. I just don't want to hide it any more. I don't want to hide us any more."I say as tears stream down my face.
"I promise to you that this will end soon. You just gotta promise me that you won't give up on us. Promise?"
"Promise." I said in an assuring tone. I hear footsteps coming up the sair way so I then peek him on the lips and pushed him out the back door way.
