Clace-

Clary sat in the Institutes kitchen on a high stool, her short legs dangling off and swinging in a rhythm that went with the song she hummed as she ate.

She was enjoying her lunch break from training with Jace, tired from the previous exercises. They had gotten up earlier than usual for a jog. Jace had told her that they had to beat the sun and, knowing his competitiveness, she went along with it, half asleep.

Her hair was up in a fiery red bun, loose strands hanging around her face. Her black tank top stretched across her breasts, sweat stained, distracting Jace from training. She smiled at the thought, giggling a bit. Her black yoga shorts showed off her curves, also distracting the golden lion boy. Clary's emerald green eyes stared off into space as she chewed on her banana, unaware of the golden Shadowhunter that crept up behind her.

"BOO!" Jace exclaimed, causing Clary to jump. She swung around and smacked him on the shoulder, but being Jace, it was ineffective.

"Jace!" she scolded. "You scared me!"

"Oh, please," he smiled, taking a stool next to her on the kitchens island. "You're best friends with a vampire. That should be scarier than anything."

"Are you insulting him, or calling him scary?" she countered.

Jace's jaw dropped. "Why would I compliment him like that? The boy is nothing to fear! At least, not for me. For you, on the other hand..."

Clary rolled her eyes and punched him in the shoulder, turning her attention back to her thoughts and source of protein.

She began to take a bite, but was interrupted by his stifling of a laugh.

"What?" she asked, sincerely and innocently confused.

His golden eyes were lit up with humor, bright. "Nothing, nothing. Continue if you must." He folded his arms in front of him and trained his eyes on her, licking his lips. Clary gave him a look and took another bite, and Jace's head fell into his arms. His shoulders shook with laughter and Clary could hear him gasping for air as she finished off her banana.

She threw the peel away, and walked over to Jace again, running her hands up and down his back. He was clad in black; sweat shorts and a tank top. He had taken his shirt off at some point in training, distracting Clary as well. She was very disappointed when he had put it back on right before the lunch break.

"How about we take a longer break from training," she tried to say seductively.

Jace moved under her moving hands and turned to face her. She wound her arms around his neck, he his around her waist. He pulled her closer, and she rested her forehead against his, their eyes locked. Gold and green stared intently into each other.

"You know you'll be given a new instructor if we're caught... goofing off, during training time," Jace pushed.

"You call what we've never done goofing off?" Clary shot back. By now, their breathes were mixing.

"No, I just... didn't know you were talking about that."

Clary closed the distance and kissed him, tasting his salt and sweat. Jace didn't pull away; he pulled her in closer. She climbed up on him and straddled his lap, pushing him against the island. He stood up and spun them around, laying her on the island and climbing on top of her. She moaned under him as he pressed his erection onto her, showing what she did to him.

Just then, Alec walked into the kitchen, biting into an apple.

He dropped the piece of fruit when he saw the couple.
