"a house caught fire last night at 3 am. officials got to the scene to find the house barely standing.
the house belonged to the duns, a family very close to the community.
it is reported the only to survive was joshua dun, who was out of town during last nights events.
authorities are still looking into the cause of the fire, however it may have been an unfortunate malfunction in the families stove."

tyler stared at the screen in front of him, confused. never had he failed a task.

"sir, jo-joshua dun wasn't on t-the hit list that you gave - "

a sharp piercing ran around the room as tyler's bosses hand collided with his cheek, sending tyler flying to the ground.

"please" he whimpered, as the tall man whose name he never learned towered over him.

"don't you dare makeup excuses kid, you and i both know the names of the four members of the family were all there." the man spat.

"you said four, but j-joshua was the fifth member, meaning you didn't even know?!" tyler cried at the man.

the man stood silent for a moment, before kicking tyler on the side of his ribcage.
"don't tell me i'm wrong kid, whoever made that file surely got something wrong." he spat.

pain surged through tyler's body, making him moan out, begging the man to let him fix this.

the man gripped tyler hair, pulling his head back, whispering in his ear, "don't mope about this kid, get to the bottom of it and then kill joshua dun. and kill whoever made the wrong file."

"o-okay" tyler muttered.

"good," the man said, releasing tylers hair, making his head hit the ground.

"do it now." tyler heard him say, before the door to his house was slammed shut.
he was left on the ground, spewing out words filled venom at joshua dun for existing, the world and most of all at himself, for being so stupid.
