Chapter sixteen –the forest, the car and at school, does it matter where?

Lucas's POV

We got to Ridge View in thirty minutes. We stopped by macca's to get something to eat and she offered to drive. I was a little scared at first but she was driving slowly enough so it was cool.

'come on grandma, any year now' I chuckled and she glared at me.

'shut up' she whined jumping in the sit a little.

'you can put your foot on the petal you know?'

'I know'

'so do it, we are going to be on this street forever' I faked yawned and she glared at me.

'we'll be there soon' she grumbled and I looked out the window thinking.

'hey Nicole?' I said a few minutes later.

'yes?'

'a goat just passed in the passing lane' I snickered and she hit me, the car swerved and I shrieked clutching the door tightly. She laughed stepping on the gas a little. She pulled into Ridge View parking lot eventually and I dived out of the car and pretended to kiss the ground. She climbed out tapping her foot impatiently.

'oh I've missed you so much' I cooed to the ground standing up.

'hurry up Lucas, or I'm going home after this'

'coming' I yelled out grabbing the other macca's bag and took off after her.

Gapping I took in the view again but it meant nothing with Nicole standing next to me. I smirked gesturing to the log. She moved over sitting down and started eating her fries. I joined her and began eating too.

'just a quick question but how on earth do you always make that shot?' she asked turning to face me shoving in three chips at once.

'focus is key'

'you always look at me' she whined and I rolled my eyes. I give it one...two...thr-

'oh my god' she cries and drops the chips in her hand.

'what?' I asked laughing to myself.

'you always look at me!'

'glad we worked that out'

'hey Lucas, this girl you like...she isn't me is she?'

'you make it sound like a bad thing'

'oh no, that's not how it was supposed to sound. It's just...'

'yeah I get it and honestly Nicole, it's been you for a ages'

'ages?' she asked mouth open and eyes wide as she stared at me.

'a year exactly as of the twentieth of January'

'a whole friggin year?!' she shrieked and I nodded blushing a little.

'you're blowing it out of proportion'

'no I'm not'

'can you stop yelling?'

'oh...sorry'

'I've liked you for a whole year and two months'

'oh my god' she giggled putting her macca's bag down.

'what?' I asked looking at her just in time to be taken aback by her forcible lips. I fiddled putting my macca's bag down, dusting the salt of my hands I grabbed her waist pulling her onto me. She cupped my face as she kissed me.

I held her waist tightly and ground her against me. She moaned and I let out a shaky breath as her kiss travelled my jaw line, my neck and then she pulled up my shirt and off my head.
