Nobody Paradise

I've been living my life the wrong way

All my true feelings locked away in a cage.

Wearing a mask for the world

Almost nothing can peel it off

except the door to my room closing shut

"what do you think about her?"

"she's a popular girl-"

"but she's got no chest"

"no butt"

"she's not good enough"

So they discard us.

Away with all the others they believe are trash.

We are taken to the dump

Where we stand together

Except the ones who try to escape

But the wall that is built is too steep

so they are cut and bruised and scarred

till they bleed

and are broken in half

for everyone to see what they truly are.

The ones who stand together

they are marked nobody

They live on with their lives

With a drama-free policy

No one tries to escape

they build the wall higher

so high, no one else can get in

Though they have each other

in their own alliances

together

they live on the beach

where the skyline meets the water

in the perfect nobody paradise
