He left them and Blake looked at her and said " Mannn I ain't working with her" Chris looked at him and laughed "Boy leave that girl alone she ain't tell you nun" Josh looked up at Arica like he was worried about something " Aye bestfriend come here" He pat his lap motioning her to sit on it and she did as she was told. Looking up at him she said "Yes bestfriend"

Josh: Imma ask something and I want you to tell me the truth ok

Arica: Ok

Josh: When Mr.Turk touched your shoulder why did you jump like you were scared?

Arica: Josh I'm fine don't worry about it

Josh: No Arica answer me

Arica: Nothing

Josh: (whispers in her ear) Did he hit you again?

Arcia: No (eyes go big)

He looked at her like he could smack her face off.Why you lying for him bruh. She just looked at her hands and stayed quiet. So why you have that long sleeve shirt on then? Because I like it damn why you so worried about me? He set her in her chair and turned her around. She noticed the other guys were listening to their conversation and she got nervous. She didn't even realize Josh was moving the top of her shirt to see her shoulder. Josh stop she moved his hand but he already saw the bruise."What the hell is that Arica," He whisper yelled at her kinda scaring her a bit. It's just a bruise Josh I fell and hit my shoulder on something in my room calm down. So it gave a you a damn purple hand mark is what you're telling me right? She just put her head down, can we just talk about it later because ya nosey friends are listening and they don't need to know my business. Man whatever what chu doing after school? I have dance for an hour, can i get a ride it's right after school you can grab some food while you wait. Yea but we talking later start the work he gave us and I'm still mad you lying for him. I'm sorry bestfriend.

Arica started working on the packet from Mr.Turk working on it like the problems were an easy puzzle. She was so into the work that she didn't notice she was already half way finished. The guys just looking at her like she was weird. Arica just worked problem to problem and in less than fifteen minutes of the class, she was completely done with her package. She looked up and over at Josh while he worked through his package, then around the table watching how the rest of the group worked with a few problems. She put her headphones in her ear listening to the song from earlier, as she wrote dance moves in her notebook that would match the song perfectly. 'Demiplie' 'cambre' 'releve' 'degage' 'rond de jambe' 'arabesque' 'pique'.

Arica's pencil lightly stroked her notebook paper displaying the words of dance moves as she softly hummed with her music. Josh noticed her singing and looked in her direction to see her so consumed in her thoughts. He shook his head and continued working on the many problems in his unfinished math package.

Chris: (looks at Arica) Dang girl you done already?

Arica: (looks up at him) Yes

Chris: Can I see if my answers are correct then?

Arica: Sure (hands him her package)

Chris: Thx

Arica: No problem

Chris looks at his answers and Arica's making sure he did the correct work, correcting the few he had wrong so far. He continued working on the problems only checking his answers when he's gotten through ten problems. Mason looks over at him seeing the package and slightly bumping Jack's arm. Jack looks over at Chris and the package then around the table seeing Arica sitting back with headphones in her ears. Chris slides Arica her package saying thank you and she sends him a small smile.

Mason: (whispering) Aye Chris

Chris: Yea wassup

Mason: Lemme see your package

Chris: Don't mess up my work bruh

Mason and Jack look over their work copying a few answers from Chris's package missing a few so Mr.Turk won't know they copied his work. There was five minutes left in class so Mr.Turk asked the class to hand in their packages as they left the room. Students hurried to finish the last of the questions they had. As the bell rung, students hurried to turn in their work leaving Arica and the group Josh and his friends to turn in their work last.
