Scotty looked at his pokemon and seen tyrouges disappointed face for not be able to battle any trainers pokemon.

Scotty saw tyrouges expression perk up a bit which made him a little bit happier.
As scotty walked on towards vermilion city as man apparently walking the opposite way bumped into him making him fall into the sand near the lake that wasn't that far from vermilion.
Scotty: oooffff! Hey......Whats the deal?
Scotty turned around to see the man wore a cape on his back and had red hair.
Man with a cape: Ugh.....Oh sorry
The man turned and pulled out his headphones that was attached to his pokegear. Scotty felt his heart drop when he recognized who the man was from the outfit with 3 red stripes that went down to his pants and the black cape that matched his clothes.
Scotty: Wait! I'm terribly sorry for the reaction Lance of the elite four.
Scotty bowed towards the righteous man that stood before him.
Lance: No im sorry for bumping into you kid.
Lance bowed back out of respect towards scotty.
Lance: Anyway have you seen any trainers around here i knew there used to be a lot of trainers that used to like to battle around here.
Scotty: No sir i haven't i heard from a hiker in mt. moon that they all went to different regions for no reason.
Lance: Hmm suspicious...................
Scotty: Uh lance if you don't mind me asking why did you just ask me that?
Lance: well a lot of trainers liked to stick around the routes in-between the main cities and would battle daily to toughen their pokemon. So an absence like this one is not normal.
Scotty: Oh i see well do you wanna battle?
Lance looked at scotty with a surprised look on his face from the sudden question. Scotty body shook at what his just asked the man.
Scotty: Uh sorry its a habit now.
Lance: Hahahaha!! Just how long have you been traveling with your pokemon?
Scotty felt a since of relief at the sudden laugh of his childhood role model.
Scotty: Only about 3 months now but I've been training hard with my pokemon.
Lance: Yea sure i was own my way to do something but i can spare a one on one fight.
Scotty looked at his tyrouge through its pokeball and saw him staring at lance.
Scotty: Alright buddy lets do this!
Tyrouge nodded back at scotty to show approval.
Tyrouge burst out of his pokeball in a fixed battle stance moving back in forth like a boxer.
Lance: Ah a tyrouge huh........
Scotty watched as lance thought for a moment and threw a pokeball.
Lance: Here a perfect match for that low level pokemon.
A average dratini popped out of the pokeball.
Scotty: (How could he have known of tyrouges low level?)
A silence fell over for a moment in till lance had a sudden smirk that made scotty push forward to attack first.
Scotty:(Can't let his expertise shake me up!) Tyrouge use mach punch!
Lance and Scotty watched as all of tyrouges punches moved passed the serpent like it was in water.
Lance: Dratini's speed stat is a greater number higher then how fast your tyrouge can punch. you wont be able to hit him!
Tyrouge's anger went over the roof when hearing how much stronger that small creature was to him making him punch faster and making himself go into a rage.
Scotty: Come on tyrouge!
One of tyrouges punches finally grazed dratini's small face making tyrouge feel a since of gratitude.
Lance: Twister.
Dratini summoned a small but powerful tornado from it's mouth blowing tyrouge back from the small battlefield into the lake behind scotty.
Scotty barely saw the move before getting a cut on his cheek from the move being sent from dratini.
Scotty: So........Fast (Tyrogue can't beat him! What was i thinking!)
Scotty looked at tyrouge as he struggled to come back to the sandy beach of the small lake.
Tyrouge: RAHHHH!!!
Tyrouge's anger flowed through him as he charged towards dratini the small pokemon that only stood about 3 feet off the ground.
Lance: Interesting....................
Tyrouge rapidly sent out mach punches towards the small serpent pokemon again each punch punching at full speed and at max power.
Wosh! The punches were strong enough to push lances hair back and his cape.
Scotty: Tyrouge......(You can do it!)
Scotty felt the anger that tyrouge felt at not being able to hit the small pokemon.
At a single moment tyrouge anger hit a peak that his own level was forced to level up by tyrouge alone! At this moment tyrouge was about to use a last resort to win for himself and his friend scotty to show that he wasn't weak a Deadly one shot mach punch!
Scotty: What the........is that flames did dratini use a flame attack??!
Tyrouge aura was so bright that both scotty and lance saw the flames erupt from tyrouges body.
Tyrogue lifted his bright fist into the air for the last hit that was destined to win this fight but dratini speed was greater which let dratini dodge most of the blow which halved the damage that it would have done.
Dratini: Creeeaaaa.............
Dratini screamed as the punched pushed him backwards into ground pushing his body downwards like a spring with the sand was pushed downwards with him.
Lance: Slam!!
Dratinis body bounced up from the hearing the words and pushed tyrouges fist back into the air and dratinis body dug into tyrouges body. Tyrouge felt a giant pain in his stomach as dratini propelled into him.
Scadoosshh! Tyrouges body was sent flying into the air before hitting the ground knocked out from the fall.
Scotty: No tyrouge!
Scotty kneeled down to check on his beaten friend.
Lance: Sorry kid but that last hit when you made your pokemon use all it power points at once made dratini use its body like a spring which made dratinis slam move stronger ...........a lot stronger. Next time be smarter.
Scotty: Wait.......What do you mean?
Lance: Ugh..... I don't have time to explain things just go heal your friend. Return dratini!
Dratini returned to its pokeball and lance walked off without another word.
Narrator: What did lance mean by that?
