Narrator: Our two friends have awoken from the night at the pokemon center and are about to head for the pewter city for there first official gym battle.
Caleb: Alright scotty are you ready?
Scotty: Yea i'm ready
Scotty slipped on his white jacket and headed out the door behind Caleb.
Scotty and Caleb went through the door at the end of the hallway and headed to the front of the center.
Joy: Hey Caleb, your pokemon are ready.
Caleb went over to joy and got his pokemon from nurse joy.
Caleb: Thanks nurse joy.
Scotty: Alright caleb let's go!
Caleb: Yea see nurse joy.
Joy: Wait you two aren't heading for viridain forest are you?
Scotty: Yea why?
Joy: Well that forest is crawling with a monstrous pokemon that has scared trainer's from traveling through the forest to pewter city.
Caleb: Really what kind of pokemon is it?
Joy: I don't know but they say it is unbeatable.
Caleb: Thanks, but i'm going to take my chances.
Scotty: Yea me too, thanks though!
Joy: Be careful.
Scotty and Caleb headed out of the center and down the street and in front of the forest.
Scotty: Wow that is dark.
Scotty and Caleb looked into the gaping hole in front of them that lead to the forest of viridian.
Caleb: Yea i'm worried about that pokemon that joy was talking about.
Scotty: Yea me too i don't think my pokemon could take that pokemon either.
Caleb: Are you sure i'm mean there level's are quite high.
Scotty: Yea but what if it can use water type moves then i'm in for quite a mess.
Caleb: What do you mean water types suck.
Scotty: That's because you battled with chikorita when you fought that tentacruel, grass types can battle them over a type advantage fire types can be beat by them because they are water type.
Caleb: I think i get what your saying.
Scotty: Let's go we going to have to get through this to battle the pewter city gym.
Scotty and caleb walked into the dark forest and started there way to the middle of the forest.
45 Minutes later......
Caleb: I thought joy said that there was a strong pokemon here.
Scotty: Yea me to.
Scotty and Caleb looked at the massive tress in the middle of the forest that spread it's limbs across most of the forest.
Scotty: What's that?
Little sparks came off the tree and a small yellow mouse appeared above both of them.
Caleb: A rat?!
Scotty: NO that's a pikachu it can shoot lighting out of it's cheeks!
Caleb: Really? that sounds stupid.
Scotty: That can't take a lot of hit's but they are fast and can deliver strong attacks.
The electric mouse jumped down from the branch and glared at both of them with electricity shooting out at both of it's red cheeks.
