Scarlett's POV

I place my wet paintbrush into a cup filled halfway with water. Finally. I look up to my finished piece. It was a watercolor painting of us running away from the prison, with a girl in the background, Raven. How is she doing? Although she scared me almost to death, I just have to wonder. I mean like, an insane psychopath and a desperate girl in their own world, anything could happen.

I take my finest tip brush and write my signature in the right corner of the page with today's date. It's quite crazy how it's been a week after all this happened. We're finally back to our normal lives. Jennie is working at Starbucks and I heard that Jake surprised her. Khloe is back in our shared house, playing her guitar once again. I heard her strumming her guitar to a song I don't know earlier today. I'm back in my small room, now filled with stuff from the prison. Back again with long nights filled with writing books and drawing. Connor and his friends are.. Somewhere out there.

I wonder how they are doing. What are they doing? They practically lived in another world for many years, finally going back to the real world must be hard. My guess would be, they're either somewhere exploring, or going to the mall together. They were friends from middle school, of course they would like to relive their moments, since most of their youth was spent hiding from a psychopathic girl crazy in love with him.

I heard a knock at my bedroom door. I check the clock. 10:34 PM. I guess there's still some time until I sleep at 12. Looking through the peephole, I see 4 people in black hoodies. It's them again... "What now?" I yelled, hoping they could hear me through the door. Right now just isn't the time for me to talk to other people. I don't like being lonely, I just time to recharge after that vacation.

"It's important! I wanna ask you something!" I heard Connor yell back. I open the door and see Connor in his black hoodie, like always. He wore that all the time in middle school, or I think that's it. Maybe just the same color.

"What do you want, I'm busy," I leaned against one side of the door frame and raised an eyebrow to him. "Do you want to watch a movie with me? We were never exactly friends in middle school, so it'll be nice to finally get to know you," he gave me a small smile.

"No," I straight up said it. I didn't hate him, it just wasn't the right time. I had a lot of things rambling on and on in my mind, and I just didn't feel like talking to anyone at the moment.

"It'll be fun, anyways, you need a break," he let himself into my room and looked around. He gazed in amazement at all of my paintings, especially the one I did of the prison.

"What's wrong?" he asked, "you're usually sad when you just doze off, something's definitely wrong," he muttered. "There's just a lot of things in my head at the moment, like, what is Raven doing?" I asked, looking down at the floor.

"Raven, she'll be fine. She's in her own universe now, she can do whatever she wants." He smiled and looked back at me. I was happy that there's someone to comfort me. Anyways, I should believe him, he made her world anyways, literally.

"Thanks, I guess I have some time to go with you. I hope we'll be better friends," I chuckled, "Okay, so I'll see you soon!" I waved at the boy and with that, he left.

I turned around with a smiled on my face. I layed on my bed and pulled the blanket over me. And in a few minutes, I fell in a deep sleep.
