"Bumbuuum!" Nadine singsonged and scooted closer to James.
They were currently on the sofa watching a tv series.
"Hmmm."
"Have something to tell you."
"What? You're pregnant?" James smirked.
"Ikaw ha, nahawa ka na kina mama at tita Ella."
"I'm just too excited to start a family with you."
"5 years more!"
Nadine chuckled while James frowned.
"So, what are you gonna tell me?"
"So there's this film agency that called me and asked me to join their 1 month film workshop in Singapore next next month. And if magustuhan daw nila yung works ko, they'll send me to a film school in New York. I accepted it!" Nadine grinned.
"What? You accepted it?"
"Uhuh, what's wrong with that?"
"You accepted it without asking my permission?"
"Sorry love, I was gonna tell you pero I got too excited so I immediately said yes."
"What if I don't want you to go?"
Nadine's eyebrows furrowed.
"Naddie, you're gonna be away for 1 month and I'm pretty sure you'll do great so you'll be in New York in no time. I can't handle that."
"But James, I really want to!"
"You should've asked me first!"
Their voices started to get louder.
"Ay wow ha, medyo entitled ka rin ano? Sino ka ba naman para hindi ako payagan sa mga gusto kong gawin? Magulang ba kita? Hindi! Kaya pabayaan mo ako!"
You know shit is getting real when Nadine starts to speak straight in tagalog.
"But at least, you could've told me and asked for my opinion before accepting that offer!"
"Opinion? Opinion na di mo ako papayagan? Ano ba, James? Akala ko ba we should support each other always? Kung di mo naman pala kayang panindigan yung mga sinabi mo, kung di mo naman pala kayang suportahan ako, eh di mag break na lang tayo!"
Nadine was beyond enraged.
"No!"
Nadine stood up and went upstairs to their bedroom. She got her purse and phone and went back down.
"Where are you going?"
Nadine didn't answer.
"Nadine, where are you going?!"
Still, Nadine didn't answer. She walked towards the door quickly and tried her best to avoid James but James was quicker so he got hold of Nadine's arm and turned her around so they would be facing each other.
"Please, love, talk to me."
"Kakausapin kita kapag kaya mo na akong suportahan sa mga bagay na gusto kong gawin!" Nadine removed James' hand from her arm and walked out of their house.
Once Nadine finally settled inside her car, she called Lauren.
"Hello? Lauren?"
"Naddie, hi!"
"Where are you?"
"Kiana's condo."
"I'm gonna go there."
