A month later...
"James!" Nadine yelled.
"Di ba sabi ko sa'yo, pagkatapos mong kumain ilagay mo ang pinagkainan mo sa lababo? Ano ba yan? Nakakainis!"
James , who was playing playstation in the living room, ignored Nadine.
After Nadine finished washing the dishes, she went to the living room and sat beside James.
"How many times have I told you to put the dishes in the sink after you eat? Are you deaf?"
Still, James ignored Nadine.
"Di ka talaga ka magsasalita? Bahala ka na nga dyan! Jowain mo na lang yang playstation mo!"
Nadine walked out and went to their bedroom. She immediately called Lauren. She desperately needed to stay away from James.
"Hi babe, where are you?"
"I'm with dad right now. We're having dinner at BGC."
"Are you going home here or you'll be staying at dad's house?"
"I think I'm staying with dad. Why? Is there something wrong? Did you have a fight again?"
Nadine groaned.
"Ugh, Lauren, I hate him! He's so annoying and he's not even talking to me!"
Lauren laughed.
"Do you want me to go home there or do you want to go and sleep at dad's house? Or you'll go home to your parents' house?"
"Can I sleep at dad's house? I really don't want to see his face."
Lauren laughed again.
"Yeah, sure you can. I'll see you later. Take care."
"Thank you, Lauren. See you!"
Nadine was really grateful that Lauren was there to accompany her when James couldn't. Nadine found a best friend and a sister in Lauren.
Nadine left the house, just bringing her phone. James didn't even bother to ask her where she's going. She wanted to cry.
Ten minutes has passed since Nadine arrived at Daddy M's house. There wasn't a single text or call from James.
Twenty minutes later, Lauren and Daddy M arrived at the house.
Lauren immediately ran to Nadine, who was seated at the living room couch. She then hugged Nadine. It looked like they hadn't seen each other for years.
Daddy M approached Nadine and Lauren.
"Hi dad," Nadine greeted and hugged Daddy M.
"Hi, darling. What did my son do to you?"
Nadine shrugged.
"Nothing, dad. I... I just wanted to see Lauren."
Lauren grinned.
"Oh, how about me? You didn't want to see me?"
The girls laughed.
"Of course, I do want to see you."
Daddy M laughed.
"Just kidding! You know my son very well, you know how stubborn he is, just a little more patience with him. Okay?"
"Yes, dad."
"Alright, I'll go and sleep ahead. Good night, my beautiful angels."
"Dad!" Lauren exclaimed.
