"Shhhhh." He said. I furrowed my eyebrows confused as to why he would not want his friends to be with him after he found me.
"My friends will think you're a ghost or something. Do you live here?" He asked in a hushed tone. I nodded, his hand still covering my mouth.
"If I let go, do you promise not to run or scream?" He asked me. I nodded and he let me go. I looked at him scared and looked behind him and saw a boy who looked asian. When he saw me his eyes widened.
"Ash, get away from her!" He yelled getting the other two boys attention. They looked over and didn't stop staring at me.
"Leave her alone!" The guy in front of me yelled to the other three. They stepped back and watched him closely.
They acted like I was a foreign creature, except for the guy in front of me. He looked so caring and kind. He looked at me like I was special, like I was interesting. I loved the way he looked at me but I also hated that I might get close to him.
I forgot about the other boys until one of them cleared their throat. I looked at them and so did the other guy. The asian guy spoke, "So, what's your name?" He asked me.
"Annie." I said. They all smiled.
"So you're the girl."
