"You are so fucked," Rhys says with a grin.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I take a seat next to him and grab one of the orders out of the bag. I open it and see Cadence's meal, so I reach in and grab the other one. Opening it, my mouth starts to water at the smell of the medium well steak that is sitting in the box.

"You're falling for her. I knew you had a thing for her before, but I didn't know it was this serious. Am I going to have a new sister soon?" His smug look does nothing for me except maybe want to punch the little bastard.

"Fuck off," I grumble, grabbing the silverware from the bag and opening it. Just as I pull out the fork and knife, the door to the bedroom opens, and Cadence comes walking in the room.

Her hair is brushed out, and the yoga pants and tank top are fitted to her body perfectly. She doesn't have a bra on, and I see the way my brother is staring at her from the corner of my eye. I kick him under the table, and he grunts before hitting me with a dirty look.

He knows not to test me on her, so I don't know why he is.

"You're food is in this box." I move it over to where the open chair is next to me and place silverware next to it before grabbing a wine glass and pouring some of the wine into her glass and setting it in front of her food.

"Thank you." Her voice is soft, almost too soft. Something in her must have changed in the shower because I know for a fact she would not be sweet to me. Not ever. She blames me for a lot of what is going on even if I'm the one who is only trying to save her.

"You're welcome," I state before cutting into the steak and taking a bite. I watch her as she sits; ignoring the looks my brother is now giving me.

He kicks me under the table, and I see her eyes narrow at him. "I suggest if you're trying to get his attention, you kick him instead of me." She reaches for her glass and takes a large gulp of the wine before blowing out a breath and opening the box, leaving my brother speechless.

I raise an eyebrow at him, and he just shrugs.

We eat in silence the rest of the time. No words being spoken and I'm not sure if it's because neither of us knows what to talk about or tension is still running high from what happened at the house before Cadence, and I came here.

I didn't exactly tell Rhys what has been going on, but I know he can sense it. He's always has been good at getting reads on me without me ever having to say a word. So in a way, I'm glad he isn't asking a million questions right now.

The shrill sound of a phone ringing is the only sound that is being made now that we are done eating. Rhys reaches into his pocket and pulls out his phone, grinning at the screen.

"Sorry big bro, but my night just got a whole lot better. Hot blonde with big tits is a calling and," he winks before looking at Cadence who has a look of disgust written all over her face continues. "I can't leave her unsatisfied. Plus I'm sure you have some other plans for the princess here." His grin widens, and Cadence flips him off.

"Glad to know you still haven't grown up." She spits, taking another large gulp of wine. The bottle was gone long ago, and I had another one brought to the room for her. She's already on her way to wasted, but part of me doesn't mind. It might make it easier to get her to bed with me tonight. Warm her up to the idea of us sharing a bed.

"Nope only got worse, baby. If you want to know what it feels like to be with a man, all you have to do is ask." He grins at her.

I watch her expression change before she steels her emotions and fights back. "I don't see a man sitting in front of me. You're just a little boy who thinks he can please a woman. I'm sure you don't even know what to do with a vagina. You're probably just all talk." She smirks at him, and I run my hand over my face.
