Chapter 21 - Falling stars

We got back to the travel lodge at 5.15pm and it was now dark. We headed over to Co-op to get some bits for tea later on if we were hungry, or for the car journey if we decide to leave.

Rolling into the room at 5.30pm I flopped on the bed and shut my eyes. I heard someone go into the bathroom and shut the door; I then heard the room door open and close (Yes I knew the sounds of the doors). When I opened my eyes the room was empty. I sat up, going over to the window and looking out; being dark I noticed a shadowed figure under one of the lampposts looking suspicious.

It looked like Alexis, but it couldn't be (could it?) why would he be here? It was as if he was following me! I opened the window, he looked up,

"Ariiayla is that you?" He shouted. It was definitely him. I left the room, heading down the corridor, as I was making my way out the door I bumped in Keane and Tayte,

"Where do you think you're going?" Keane asked,

"Um...okay, so Alexis is here and I need to talk to him because he's definitely following me and I'm getting really suspicious now"

"No" Tayte said,

"Why not?" I retorted,

"We don't trust him"

"I don't flaming well trust him either! Well I did, but now I'm not so sure" I exclaimed,

"If you want to speak to him then we're going with you" Keane told me,

"Fine, jeez guys"

We walked over, he hadn't exactly moved position, he smiled when he saw me, then his eyes went cold when he saw Tayte and Keane and I didn't like that, he wasn't like that before, he looked scared and shy before and now he looked so confidence and brazen, was it all a pretence?

"What are you doing here Alexis?" I asked,

"Just stopping here for a couple hours...pit stop I think" He said,

"Who are you with?"

"Um...my brothers and uncles" He said,

"Oh, I see"

"Do you want to go for a drink with me, in the little chef?" he asked,

"No she doesn't" Tayte snapped, Alexis looked at him and smiled,

"She can answer for herself can she not," my mouth nearly dropped open,

"Piss off" Keane said, Alexis looked at me,

"Maybe another time" I replied, he smiled softly at me,

"Okay" and he walked off, not before giving Tayte and Keane death stares.

It hit me whilst walking back that he had to have something to do with the men and Cylan, or was I just thinking irrationally?

I zoned out Keane and Tayte cussing him until we went through the door. Noah was led on the bed topless with his eyes closed,

"I thought you'd all left me" He said, not opening his eyes,

"We'd never leave you bubba" Keane said, I saw Noah smile, "We just had to sort out Arii and fucking Alexis, he's here and he's trouble"

"I knew you were trouble when you walked in..." Noah hummed,

"You okay?" I asked,

"Yeah, just got a headache" He muttered.
