"Do you hear that?" Yana asked, sitting up on the bed and pausing the movie in the process.
"Hear what?" I asked, sitting up beside her. "Shh, listen," she hushed.
I listened carefully and heard the sound of running and someone yelling. "Come on, let's go see," I suggested, grabbing onto Yana's arm.
"Are you sure about that? The guys did say to stay in here," Yana skeptically said.
"Oh, come on, is Yana losing her edge?" I teased with a smile. She gave me a deadpan stare and started pulling me out of the room. I chuckled, saying, "Okay, I'm coming."
Once we hit the hallway, we sprinted all the way down the stairs, stopping at the last steps. The scene in front of us was chaotic, with men loading guns, knives, and an array of weapons that only fueled my imagination of the harm they could cause.
"What is going on?" Yana murmured.
"We're going to find out," I determined, setting my eyes on Matteo and Adriano in the corner as they conversed with Luca and Stefano. I navigated my way through the men who were intensely preparing for something, though I remained in the dark about the details.
Adriano spotted me and exchanged words with the others before turning his attention towards me. He took my hand and led me gently to a quieter corner, away from the bustling activity.
"What's going on, Adriano?" I asked, worry evident in my voice. He took a deep breath before responding, "We have reason to believe that Miliana and Leena were kidnapped, but we're going to go look for them." He held my waist, pulling me closer to him.
"How? I thought they had guards with them?" I questioned, panic bubbling up in my stomach.
"They did, but they aren't responding either. Don't worry, amore. I'm going to find them. In the meantime, you and your sister are going to stay in the estate. I can't have you going missing too," he informed me. I sighed and pulled him into a tight hug.
"Please find them," I whispered into his chest.
"I will," he assured me, his voice rumbling through his chest. He lifted my chin and kissed me softly. As we looked into each other's eyes, our silent words spoke volumes.
We then walked back to the others. "Luca and Stefano will be with you two, along with my other guards, who will be guarding the perimeter and the outside of the estate. You guys will be safe," Matteo assured us. I glanced at Yana, who likely wore the same expression of uncertainty as me.
"ANDIAMO!" (Let's Go!) Adriano yelled, prompting every man in the house to depart, including Adriano and Matteo.
"I hope they are okay," I muttered to myself.
"Come on, this is Capo Adriano Basilio we're talking about here. Boss of all Bosses. You should be worried about the person who took the girls," Stefano said, placing an arm around my shoulder.

"Boss, I just tried again. No answer," Niccolo reported, placing the phone in his jacket. I clenched my fist, grimacing at the darkness outside. I couldn't bear the thought of losing both of my sisters. As I chuckled to myself, I imagined the slow and painful fate awaiting the person who dared to mess with me.
